Dr. Dinah Mourise is a Canadian-Turkish-Egyptian polymath. Her career encompasses philanthropy, medicine, politics, business, and the arts.[1]

Background and Career

Dinah Mourise is of Turkish-Egyptian descent, and her family has royal Egyptian lineage. Her husband’s family is appointed in the presidential delegation and the diplomatic sector. She was born in Montreal, Canada, but her family moved to Egypt at the age of three.[2] Her travels with her father, an international trader, informed her future career endeavors.

Mourise received a bachelor’s degree in biology, a Master’s Degree in General Surgery Residency Program from the Faculty of Ain Shams, and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Ain Shams University. Following her studies, she attended a general surgery residency program and also served as a graduate assistant for the faculty of medicine at Ain Shams University. She then earned a certificate of competency in general surgery clinical trauma and critical care from the Cairo University Surgeons program. She later obtained a Doctor of Psychology degree in forensic psychology from Walden University.[1]

Dr. Mourise worked as an Emergency Unit Surgical Resident and attending trauma physician in Egypt. She has experience in Clinical Neurology and General Surgery. She received a PAACS Certificate of Competency in General Surgery. In 2001, she moved to Ontario, Canada, and continued working as a telemedicine advisor in her homeland while transitioning her career into philanthropy, focusing on child trafficking and organ tourism worldwide. Later, she opened a security and investigation company to aid with her humanitarian operations.[1]

Dr. Dinah Mourise is the founder and current vice president of OEIS.[3] The company provides security and investigation, cyber security service, and digital training for security professionals, corporate entities, government agencies, legal and compliance experts, students, NGOs, business owners, healthcare and social services professionals, international development organizations, and the general public.[4] The company operates in Niagara Falls, Burlington, and Mississauga in Canada, and Santa Monica, San Francisco, San Diego, and Irvine in California.[5] The company also has locations incorporated in The Dominican Republic and Egypt.

In 2018, Dr. Mourise became the first female mayoral candidate in Niagara Falls.[6]

In 2024, Dr. Mourise hosted delegates and senior government officials from Uganda for a symposium on global security, human trafficking, and the plight of children in war-torn countries.[7]

Dr. Mourise plays the lead doctor in the film Heart Transplant, based on a novel she authored.[7] The film is set to be released in 2025.

Additional Activities

Dr. Mourise founded the Lilia Redemption Foundation in 2015 and the Heart Transplant Foundation to combat child trafficking by raising awareness and ensuring a high standard of education and welfare for rescued children. The nonprofit operates in Canada, the United States, Northern Africa, the Dominican Republic, the Philippines, and India.[1]
