Susan Sly is an entrepreneur, tech investor, author, podcaster, and philanthropist best known as the co-founder of RadiusAI, an artificial intelligence company in the healthcare and retail sector.[1] Sly is one of only 2% of female executives who have been able to launch, expand and manage successful tech startups.[2] She is also within the 2.5% of women who have been able to secure private investments to fund their ideas.[3]

Sly is the founder of Fem Boss Incubator, which is focused on helping women in the field of technology. She is the podcast host of "Raw and Real Entrepreneurship" and has authored several books. Some of her best sellers include ‘The Have It All Woman’ and ‘Organize Your Life.’[4]

Early life and education

Sly has been inclined towards entrepreneurship since the age of 11 when she started her first business. She pursued her Bachelors in Science and Psychology from St. Mary's University and an Advanced Certificate for Executives from MIT.

Career

In 2018, Sly co-founded RadiusAI, an artificial intelligence company based in Tempe, Arizona, and Bellevue, Washington.[5] RadiusAI operates in the retail and healthcare sectors using computer vision and human-centric AI. RadiusAI has been named one of the Top Ten Hottest Startups in Phoenix by The Tech Tribune from 2019-2022. In 2022, RadiusAI won the AI Innovation at The Edge Award by VentureBeat winning over notable companies such as Boston Dynamics and The Ford Motor Company.[6]

As an entrepreneur, Sly is a sought after keynote speaker having addressed crowds of more than 20,000 people. She has spoken for NVIDIA,[7] Intel, MIT,[8] Lenovo, and has shared the stage with many other notable entrepreneurial speakers including Tony Robbins, Jack Canfield, Robert Kiosaki, Gary Vee, and Mel Robbins. Sly has delivered her expertise on the topics of entrepreneurship, startup funding, and time management.[9]

Sly is a podcaster and host of "Raw and Real Entrepreneurship," where well-known entrepreneurs such as Bulletproof Founder, Dave Asprey and Forbes Top 30 Under 30, Emily Hochman share the real truth about starting, scaling, and growing a business. Sly is also a member of the Forbes Business Counsel, which is an invitation only, elite professional leadership institution of leading business executives. She has successfully mentored companies in the art of building teams capable of generating over $2 billion dollars in sales.[10]

Sly is the founder of Crimson Phoenix Marketing, which provides marketing services to small business owners, startup founders, and entrepreneurs.[11] In March 2022, Sly launched the Fem Boss Incubator focused on helping women in the technology field launch their own businesses. Susan has authored several books and has appeared on several news channels and shows, including CNN, CNBC, Fox, Lifetime Television, The CBN, and the Morning Show in Australia.[12]

Philanthropy

As a philanthropist, Susan Sly is focused on liberating girls from human trafficking in Southeast Asia who have been forced into a life of slavery. She works towards securing psychological and physical care for these children, education, and reintegrating them back into society.[13]

Personal life

Sly resides with her husband in Scottsdale, Arizona and is the mother of four children. She has completed the Boston Marathon six times and holds a position in the top 10 Pro Division of the Ironman Triathlon in Malaysia.
