Pascal Bornet (born March 2, 1978) is an award-winning expert, author, keynote speaker, influencer, and thought leader in Artificial Intelligence and Automation. He is a pioneer in the field of Intelligent Automation (IA) and the author of the best-seller book "Intelligent Automation". He has received multiple awards and is regularly ranked as one of the top 10 global AI and automation experts.[1]

Bornet has published articles in Forbes, Bloomberg,[2] McKinsey Quarterly,[3] and The Times. He is also a lecturer at several universities and a tech influencer with more than a million followers on social media. He is a member of the Institute of Robotics, Process Automation & AI, and of the Forbes Technology Council, and a Board Member or Senior Advisor for several organizations, startups, and charities.[4]

Bornet is also a senior executive with 20+ years of experience at McKinsey and EY where he built their “Intelligent Automation” practices, managing 500+ people.[5]

Early life and education

Bornet was born in Grenoble, France, and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of California Los Angeles, The Anderson School of Management, as well as an MBA from the National University of Singapore. He pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Management and IT at EM-Lyon (ESC Saint-Etienne). He also completed several certifications in Data Science and Finance (US Certified Public Accountant).

Career

Bornet is recognized as a global expert and pioneer in intelligent automation and hyper-automation.[6] He is a senior executive with more than 20 years of experience in digital transformation. Bornet stepped into the corporate world as a Financial Controller at FAS 55 Group.[7] He then joined Groupe Casino, where he helped design and implement the first united financial reporting and consolidation system in France.[8]

Bornet joined Ernst & Young (EY), where he worked for more than thirteen years, climbing the ladder from a Senior Consultant, Manager, and then the Director of AI, where he deployed automation projects across dozens of countries. Thereafter, he joined the reputed McKinsey as a leader in automation and AI. Pascal is a Senior Advisor for several organizations such as the Institute of Robotics, Automation, and Artificial Intelligence.[9] Bornet is also a lecturer in robotics and AI at several universities such as the National University of Singapore. He has been interviewed by the World Economic Forum on ‘The Role of Intelligent Automation to Save Lives’ in 2021.[10]

Bornet was also recognized by Onalytica as the Global Top AI Professional Influencer in 2021 and by Thinkers 360 as one of the world's foremost experts on robotic process automation. He was featured among the Top 10 Global Experts in #AI & #Automation as well.

2020: Pascal was recognized as #1 Global thought leader in RPA.

2019: Pascal was featured in Global Top Voices on LinkedIn in Tech.

2018: Pascal was named as the Global Winner of the annual McKinsey contest for innovative business creations. He was also ranked first in Process Automation Services by HFS Research.
