In addition to his IT successes, Tempo is widely recognized in the music industry as an accomplished music producer known for his EDM, Dance-pop, and House music compositions, with several chart-topping tracks on Apple Music, including "The Ride," "Focus," "Self," and "Upheaval."[4][5]

With his music available on popular platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube, Tempo actively engages with his fans through social media, providing regular updates on his latest releases and other news.[6][7]

Early life and education

Tempo, born Horace Wangnin Saizonou, was raised in Cotonou, Benin. His upbringing instilled strong faith and humility, evident in his middle name, Wangnin, meaning "God's Love" in Goun. From a young age, Tempo developed a keen interest in technology and music. Encouraged by his parents, Noel Saizonou and Suzanne Houenou De Dravo, he honed his skills in programming and the digital field.

Tempo completed a French Baccalaureate in C Mathematics at Segbeya College, Cotonou, and later pursued a degree in Computer Science at the High Technology School of Benin.

Career

Information Technology:

Horace Tempo's IT career commenced as a Field Engineer, later evolving into the role of General Manager. In 2016 he co-founded H2 Solutions Africa, providing bespoke IT support and maintenance services. The company excels in Managed IT Infrastructure, serving enterprises and telecommunication giants like Vodafone and MTN. Their innovative #NewConceptForIT approach bridges legacy offerings with new technologies. Notably, in 2023, H2 Solutions Africa earned the prestigious ISO 27001 certification for its unwavering commitment to information security. Horace's co-founding role and the company's cutting-edge services have significantly impacted Africa's IT services landscape, setting new industry standards.[8]

Music Producer:

Horace Tempo, also known as T E M P O, has established a distinct musical identity as a skilled music producer[9] known for his diverse musical endeavors spanning across EDM, Dance-pop, and House music genres. In 2019, he fully embraced music production under the alias T E M P O. His productions have earned recognition, with some topping the charts on Apple Music.[10]

During the early 2020 pandemic, he dedicated time to attend virtual conferences and self-teach music production, gaining valuable insights into the industry.[11] Subsequently, he released four instrumental songs, The Rise, Focus, Logic, and Self, from January to March 2020. In May 2020, Tempo achieved a significant breakthrough with his acclaimed single "Self," amassing over 500,000 streams on Spotify in a year.[12]

Collaborating with renowned producer Nel Oliver, Tempo contributed to the "Upheaval" remix project in 2021. The project, drawing inspiration from Nelson Mandela's fight against apartheid and racial segregation, seeks to address contemporary injustices, including racism and corruption. He continued to expand his international presence, collaborating with South African DJ Citizen Deep for "For Love" in 2022.
