Henry Stoever is a business leader who currently serves as a Principal at the Brentwood Advisory Group, providing executive-level consultation and services.[1]
Background and Career
Henry Stoever completed a Bachelor of Science in economics from the United States Naval Academy. He served in the United States Marine Corps for five years and resigned at the rank of Captain.[2]
Stoever received an MBA in marketing and strategy from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.[3]
As a business leader, Stoever’s career trajectory has focused on strategically improving outcomes. He has experience in business development, marketing, and partnership creation, holding several C-level/Senior Executive positions as CEO and CMO.[4] He developed a leadership model, TCPS, emphasizing teams, customers, products, and strategy for positive business outcomes that he utilizes in his roles.[5]
In his early career, Stoever worked as a Senior Brand Manager for Kraft Foods, Director of Marketing, Communications, and Business Development at LexisNexis, Senior Director of Vertical Marketing at Sprint, and Vice President of Marketing at the Costar Group, Inc.[6]
Stoever worked with Brazos Higher Education Service Corporation for four years.[2] During his tenure, Stoever launched StudentLoans.com and served as the company’s Senior Vice President. Under his leadership, the company would become a leader in private and federal student loans.[3]
From 2010 to 2014, Stoever was a visiting professor at American University’s Kogod School of Business. From 2010 to 2019, Stoever was also the CMO of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), overseeing a period of substantial growth that tripled revenue over seven years.[6] Following this position, Stoever was the president and CEO of the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges (AGB).
In 2022, Stoever became Corporate Director at Cycurion Inc., a cybersecurity company.[7]
Stoever currently serves as a Principal at the Brentwood Advisory Group. His role provides business and leadership insights to governing boards, CEOs, COOs, CMOs, and leadership team members.[6]
Henry Stoever serves on the boards of the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation and the US Naval Academy Foundation,12 and he is an advisory council member for the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue.13
Additional Activities
Henry Stoever is based in Alexandria, Virginia, residing with his wife, Glenn, and their two dogs. Stoever is a father to five children.[2]
