Benz has established himself in the United States DJ scene, gaining traction for his performances at The Surf Lodge in Montauk and at prominent venues across New York, Los Angeles, and Aspen.[3]

Additionally, Benz has signed with Wilhelmina, a modeling agency headquartered in New York City. Throughout his modeling career, he has been featured in various publications and commercials.

Early life and education

Benz was born and raised in the coastal town of Noosa in Queensland, Australia. He grew up in a musical family where his father was a jazz musician. Benz learned reed instruments at a young age and played worship music in church. During high school, he developed a passion for alternative and punk rock, influenced by musicians such as the Ramones, Blink-182, Coldplay, and Foals.[4]

At 17, Benz moved to Sydney to pursue acting. He auditioned for the role of lead bass player in the band FIX and subsequently received an invitation from Chadwick Model Management to join the agency.[5]

Through his modeling career, Benz took on leading roles in music videos and ad campaigns for major brands such as Fudge, Bonds, Ed Hardy, V Energy Drink, Henleys, and Von Zipper. In 2013, an MTV show pilot named Soundtrack featured him in the lead role.

In 2012, Benz co-created a clothing label called 'Love Thy Neighbour' with Adam Grygoruk, now known as 'The People Vs.' The brand received recognition in Australia and the US and was worn by fashion influencers, celebrities, and athletes.[6]

In 2013, Benz was signed by Wilhelmina and relocated to the city to be featured on the men's board. He moved to New York in 2014 and became a resident DJ at The Surf Lodge. He also played at various venues across New York, Los Angeles, and Aspen. Benz is known for his energetic and eclectic DJ sets, blending electro, pop, and old-time classics with a disco-funk retro flair.[7]

In 2020, Benz released his debut single, "Rhythm Romance," a love story between someone’s soul and the power of the rhythm of music. It’s house-pop. In July 2021, he released "Jungle Heart." His music is available on all streaming platforms, such as Spotify, SoundCloud, Apple Music, and his website.

In 2023, Benz established Disco Caviar, a music production and events management company that represents a network of artists. Disco Caviar is involved in various aspects of the music industry, from record labels to artist management, and produces events ranging from retail activations to boat parties. It is known for its focus on house music and premium experiences and has gained recognition for its unique style and energy. Benz has been instrumental in establishing Disco Caviar as a go-to source in the music industry.[8]

In addition to his entertainment career, Benz is a sales and marketing professional, serving as the sales director for Quicksilver Merging Brands and managing all East Coast accounts.
