Octavian Patrascu (born on July 20, 1986) is a Romanian angel investor and entrepreneur.[1][2] He is the founder of TVP Family Office, a holding company known for investing in businesses across a vast range of industries such as healthcare, technology, real estate, and financial services.[3] Patrascu also serves as the Managing Partner of Key Way Group, a fintech company headquartered in Gibraltar with operations worldwide.[4]
He is extremely active in his role as an investor in fintech players and start-ups. He also shifted his focus towards Web 3.0 and its revolutionary concepts, such as AI, blockchain, DeFi, and neo-banking.
Patrascu has over ten years of experience in developing companies with global reach and has set an objective on helping technology start-ups set up their businesses. Patrascu has been featured in several major international media outlets, including Yahoo Finance, Capital,[5] Benzinga, Market Watch, Financial Intelligence, Daily US News, Leaprate, Profit, etc.[6]
Early life and education
Patrascu enrolled in the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, where he pursued a bachelor's degree in International Business Communication. He also enrolled at the Ecological University of Bucharest to pursue a degree in Law.
After his graduation, Patrascu also did a master's degree in International Business at the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies.
He refined his academic knowledge through diverse courses and online modules on Management, Finance, Alternative Investments, Leadership Principles, or Securities and Investment at prestigious scholarly powerhouses like Stanford University or the European Institute on Management and Finance.
Career
Patrascu started his career in 2010, when he became Business Development Partner & Minority Shareholder at Markets.com, one of the world's fastest-growing CFD providers. His breakthrough came in 2015 when Markets.com was sold to FTSE-listed company Playtech. After working for over five years on the Markets.com project, Patrascu joined Trade.com as Director and Development Partner.[7]
In parallel, Patrascu founded TVP Family Office in 2015. TVP Family Office is the structure that aims at investing in start-ups and helping them grow globally. Under Patrascu's leadership, TVP Family Office has worked on several projects such as Consultaclick, Vector Watch, Key Way Group, JUST Egg, Aggero, and many more.[8]
In 2018, Patrascu became the founder and managing partner of Key Way Group, a multi-licensed global fintech company known for its vast range of services and trading platforms. Key Way Group operates internationally under the brand name CAPEX.com[9]
