Julian de Graaf (born September 9, 1998) is a Dutch-Emirati serial entrepreneur who revitalized the car rental market in Dubai.[1] He is the founder and CEO of Elite Rentals Dubai, a luxury car and yacht rental company and Dubai Yacht Booking, a private yacht rental service.[2]
Forbes recently named Graaf one of the 30 Under 30 Middle East, and he is widely regarded as a talented young entrepreneur in the Middle East.[3]
Early life and education
Graaf was born on September 9, 1998, in Amsterdam. Since his father was from Holland and his mother was from Thailand, he was reared as half Thai and half Dutch. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in international business and management from the University of Amsterdam.
Graaf understood the value of money at a young age and was driven to amass cash to ensure a better future. Since he was 17 years old, Graaf has been a sports bettor, gathering experience and sometimes wagering up to $100,000. Together with his brother Kristan de Graaf, he decided to move to Dubai since he did not wish to continue gambling as a profession.
Career
In 2016, after migrating to Dubai, Graaf and his brother Kristan de Graaf founded Elite Rentals Dubai, a premium car and yacht rental company in the middle east. In the seven years since its founding, the company's fleet value has increased to more than 140 million AED, with over 93 super & luxury cars. The company has become one of the most recognized car rental companies in Dubai and the Middle East.[4]
Graaf is also the founder of Dubai Yacht Booking, a private yacht rental company.[5] The organization is the top quality yacht charter company in Dubai, offering exceptional experiences with packages for special events, trips, and hourly and daily bookings. A fleet of 27 Diamond Yachts is owned by the company.[6][7]
Graaf is regarded as one of the most significant young Middle Eastern entrepreneurs.[8]
