HostRooster is an online marketplace for freelance services providing freelancers and clients with a safe and nurturing platform to connect and collaborate.[1] With a commitment to empowering freelancers and fostering business growth, HostRooster offers a reliable and trustworthy environment for showcasing skills and achieving success in the competitive freelance industry.[2] By advancing a supportive community and offering essential tools and resources, HostRooster has established itself as a leading destination where freelancers can thrive and clients can find top-notch services.[3][4]

History

HostRooster, founded in 2019 by Dean Jones, is a freelance services marketplace developed to meet the evolving demands of freelancers and clients in the digital landscape.[5] Dean Jones, an entrepreneur with a background in web development and a graduate of St. Martins College, envisioned a platform that would connect freelancers and clients in a secure and nurturing setting.[6] Inspired by nature's symbolism, the rooster was chosen as HostRooster's emblem, symbolizing the qualities of boldness, confidence, and resilience that resonate with freelancers and their entrepreneurial journeys.[7] With Dean Jones' expertise and understanding of the freelance marketplace, HostRooster was designed to provide essential tools, resources, and a supportive community, enabling freelancers to showcase their skills, collaborate with clients, and thrive in their freelance careers.[8]

Overview

HostRooster is a dynamic marketplace that empowers freelancers to connect with clients and showcase their skills, facilitating their journey in the freelance industry.[9] With a diverse community of skilled professionals, it attracts clients who value excellence in their projects.[10] The platform offers key features such as secure transactions, ensuring that buyers only pay for completed services, and freelancers receive timely compensation.[11] It fosters a supportive community where freelancers can connect, collaborate, and learn from one another. Additionally, HostRooster provides essential tools and resources, including project management software, communication tools, and marketing assistance, equipping freelancers for success.[12] These features and benefits contribute to the platform's success and make it an appealing choice for freelancers looking to showcase their skills and expand their businesses.[13]

HostRooster’s Pecking Order: Levels System

HostRooster has introduced the Pecking Order: Levels System, a progressive framework that enhances its freelance marketplace. Freelancers can ascend through different levels, gaining valuable benefits and increasing their earnings.[14] As a "Hatchling" at Level 0, freelancers can advance by completing orders and maintaining a robust reputation. At Level 1, known as "Feathered Friend," freelancers achieve $50 in completed orders and maintain a reputation above 90%. Moving up to Level 2, the "Crested Champion," requires $200 in sales and a reputation of 95%.[15] The pinnacle of the levels system is Level 3, "Supreme Roost," which is manually awarded by HostRooster staff to full-time freelancers who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to the platform.[16]

Subsidiaries & Partnerships

HostRooster has established subsidiaries and partnerships that expand its reach and offerings in various domains.[17]

DomainRooster offers specialized consulting services, leveraging its domain expertise to guide businesses and individuals in navigating the digital landscape.[18][19]

Societal, a politically inspired streetwear brand, has partnered with HostRooster to merge fashion and activism, creating clothing that sparks conversations on social and political issues.[20]

Siliconvicts, a dynamic startup known for its tech slogan t-shirts, collaborates with HostRooster to captivate the tech community with its innovative designs.[21]

Additionally, HostRooster has joined forces with Godinterest to reshape the Christian lifestyle clothing industry, aiming to create faith-inspired fashion that reflects individuals' beliefs.[22] These partnerships and subsidiaries expand HostRooster's reach and offer specialized services to diverse industries.[23]

Service & business model

HostRooster offers buyers a user-friendly platform to connect with skilled freelancers and receive customized services that meet their needs.[24] To find the ideal service, buyers can explore freelancers' profiles, pricing, portfolios, and community recommendations.[25] Direct communication with freelancers is also available for specific inquiries.[26] Once a freelancer is selected, buyers can clearly communicate their requirements and expectations. After placing the order, the freelancer will work on delivering the service within the agreed timeframe.[27] Payments are securely held until the buyer confirms satisfaction.[28] Upon completion, the freelancer will submit the final product for review. If satisfied, the buyer can mark the transaction as complete, and the freelancer will receive payment.[29][30]

HostRoosters provides freelancers with a growing community where they can post a job description and a pricing range in which they are willing to work.[31] Once a client has selected a particular freelancer to complete a job, the freelancer can negotiate the job's terms and conditions and begin working to complete the job within the specified time frame. Once the freelancers' work has been completed, submitted, and marked as satisfactory by the client, HostRooster releases payment.[32]
