Harish Vaswani (born October 2, 1972) is an American entrepreneur, film and music producer, editor, actor, and cloud architect. He is the co-founder and executive producer of Sarina Film Productions, a New Jersey-based film production company.[1]
Vaswani has contributed to the entertainment industry, notably serving as the sound designer and executive producer for the short films "Timeless Love" (2022) and "Resilient" (2023). Additionally, he showcased his acting prowess by starring alongside his wife, SImin Vaswani, in the film "Resilient."
Vaswani has been recognized with six Best Sound Design awards at prestigious international film festivals, including the Vegas Movie Awards, Silk Road Film Awards, Gralha International Monthly Film Awards, and the New York International Film Awards.
Vaswani is a principal cloud application architect at Amazon Web Services. He has over 25 years of experience in the IT industry, having worked at organizations like Teach for America, Cisco, IBM, Converge Technology Solutions, Vonage, UnitedHealthcare, and Avaya.
Early life and education
Vaswani was born on October 2, 1972, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He grew up in a family of musicians, developing an interest in music and film production.
Vaswani completed his bachelor's in electronics engineering from Pune University and obtained a post-graduate diploma in telecom management from Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management. He also holds a certificate in sound and audio engineering from SAE.
Career
Information technology
In 1998, Vaswani started his career as a software engineer, working at Indian software companies such as UBEST, Paragon Solutions, and Avaya.[2]
In 2001, Vaswani moved to New York, the United States, and joined Soft Tech Source as a software consultant. In the subsequent years, he worked as a senior software engineer and web application developer at software giants such as Cisco and Vonage. He also worked as a software consultant for companies like UnitedHealthcare and Cigna.
In 2009, Vaswani joined Teach For America as technical lead and software development manager. In his role, he oversaw the development of their admissions system.
In 2016, Vaswani joined Converge and served as a cloud applications director at its subsidiary, Essextec. In his capacity, he led multiple teams in developing and delivering cloud applications, oversaw the migration of legacy on-premise applications to AWS, and played a pivotal role in setting standards for development and influencing technical architecture.
In 2020, Vaswani joined Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a senior cloud application architect in professional services. AWS is a subsidiary of Amazon, specialising in cloud computing solutions. Currently, in his principal cloud application architect role, Vaswani provides leadership and expertise in designing, developing, and implementing cloud-based applications for customers. Leading a team of senior cloud application architects, Vaswani guides them in creating scalable and efficient solutions in alignment with best practices and standards.
Entertainment industry
In 2021, Vaswani co-founded Sarina Film Productions alongside his wife, SImin Vaswani. The New Jersey-based production company focuses on storytelling centred around themes of love, resilience, and overcoming adversity. Vaswani is a sound engineer and executive producer for the films produced by Sarina Film Productions. He captures, edits, and enhances the audio elements to ensure high-quality sound production. He is known for creating a balanced and immersive auditory experience by recording dialogue, adding sound effects, and integrating music. He is notable for his work in enhancing the overall storytelling and emotional impact by adjusting audio elements.
The company's first production came in 2022, “Timeless Love,” a 9-minute short dance film. The movie premiered at the London Fashion Film Festival, followed by screenings at the Cannes Film Festival, Marche du Film, the Cannes 7th Art Awards, North Hollywood Cinefest, and the New York Shorts International Film Festival. The film garnered over 45 awards at various festivals and qualified for the Oscars in 2023.[3]
Vaswani was the executive producer and sound engineer for Timeless Love. The film won the Best Sound Design award at various international film festivals, including the Vegas Movie Awards, Silk Road Film Awards, Gralha International Monthly Film Awards, and the New York International Film Awards.
He co-starred with his wife in the 2023 short film "Resilient." The film was written by SImin and produced by Sarina Film Productions. He was also the executive producer and sound designer for the film, having won the Best Sound Design award at the Vegas Movie Awards and the New York International Film Awards.[4]

Personal life
Vaswani resides in New York City with his wife, SImin Vaswani, and their son, Karan Vaswani.
Vaswani enjoys singing and playing guitar. He is an avid animal and nature lover. He practises shamanism and is a practising Reiki master.
