Dr. Shagun Gupta (born on 2nd October 1978) is an Indian Cosmetologist, micro pigmentation and permanent makeup expert, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. She is known for her expertise in permanent make-up and beauty work, medical micro-pigmentation, and skin therapy. Gupta is the founder and director of Shagun Gupta PMU PVT. LTD, a permanent make-up clinic in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She is a common name in Media industry for skin care and treatment of celebrities. Gupta is also a diplomat and fellow member of the American Association of Micro Pigmentation.
Born in Shimla, India, Gupta is a certified Cosmetologist from United States of America, recognized as the first permanent make-up expert in India and a pioneer of the Indian permanent make-up and beauty industry. She has brought advanced micro-pigmentation techniques to her clients and is one of the faces of the country to raise awareness about beauty concepts. Biography
Gupta was born on 2nd October 1978 in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh to Roshan Lal Suryavanshi and Seema Devi Suryavanshi. Her family was a simple middle class and she excelled in her studies and was a rank holder in NCC from Shimla. Her education was in a vernacular medium and attended college in biology from RKVM Shimla. She began with struggling for finances but later opened a small beauty studio in Delhi at the age of 19, which ran successfully for about a decade that gave her great confidence in reaching towards her dreams. Gupta graduated from 'GIA' London and is a certified Cosmetologist from America.
She received her Master's degree in anti-aging & Ayurveda from Madrid, Spain followed by Ph.D. She has mastered in micro-pigments from Korea. Gupta has also mastered the level 7-injectables for aesthetic medicine and became a qualified and master in aesthetic nursing as well.
She was awarded 'Honorary Doctorate Degree' from a well-known American University from the USA in the field of permanent make-up. She is also the Indian partner for Nouveau Contour which are a leading brand and masters in Micro pigmentation across the globe. She is also a fellow member and Diplomat of the American Association of Micro pigmentation. Today, Dr Gupta is at the forefront of emerging techniques that has been immensely popular in the Indian beauty market.
Later because of her significant interest in the field of injectibles (medical beauty), she concluded her medical education by taking a 6 year post BSC nursing degree and registering herself for nursing cosmetics in the United Kingdom (UK).
She began studying in the beauty industry while also completing a software management diploma in computer OOPS & VH from APTECH. In 2015, she completed her Total Beauty and Micro pigment lecture certificate in Korea, as well as different subjects and fresh new courses from the Korean Beauty Professionals Federation. Also studied "Technical Trainer in Micro Pigments" from Heritage Reformed College Korea.
After completing her studies, Her study included Permanent Make-up, Para medical micro-pigmentation, skincare, semi-permanent makeup, eyelash extension, eyelash lifting and tinting, eyebrow mapping & shaping and design, plasma pen, Hyaluron pen, heena tinting, and eyebrow lamination and micro-needling concept in the field of beauty and skincare. Gupta offers the latest advanced European and American techniques using the most latest digital machines, Swiss pigments, and crafted tools.
Gupta has over 25 years of expertise and experience in the field of permanent Make-up and Beauty cosmetics. She is a master's in PMU & Skin Specialist Certificate. She represents World's Leading skincare brand in micro-needling, based in the Netherlands.
