Alex Bobes is an Information Technology professional, Web 3.0 endorser and a Philanthropist based in Bucharest, Romania. He is currently working as Chief Technology Officer of CasinoAlpha.com[1] and Extremoo Group. He has an experience of over 13 years in the industry, leading and managing various teams of software engineers and technicians. He is an expert at working with the most current and high-level technology developments and specializes in product development, software engineering, and growth hacking. Alex Bobes runs a Non-profit Organization named Taxi Gratis, founded in 2013 which aims at providing free transport service to people with disabilities or any severe disease.[2]
Early life and education
Born in Bucharest, Romania, Alex Bobes completed his bachelor’s in Information Technology from the Octav Onicescu National College. He further pursued his masters from the University of Bucharest and later joined Titu Maiorescu University to study Law.
Alex Bobes lost his mother due to cancer. Inspired by his personal experience with the difficulties faced during his mother’s daily hospital visits due to unavailability of a personal car and unaffordable taxi and private ambulance fares, in 2013, Alex Bobes founded a non-profit association named Taxi Gratis.[3]
Career
- Alex Bobes started his career in September 2006 as Network Administrator at JMG in Bucharest, Romania.
- In 2008, he started working at miniPRIX as an IT specialist.
- In 2013, Alex Bobes joined Medi-Cab as Project Manager.
- He worked as an IT manager at Eastauctions from 2014 to 2015.
- In 2015, Alex Bobes joined Pathwway as Senior Project Manager and worked there until 2017.
- In 2017, he joined Mandarine International as Head of Software Engineering.
- He started working at ConsultaClick Romania as Head of Software Engineering in September 2017.
- In January 2018, Alex Bobes joined Key Way Group as Head of Software Engineering and later in 2021 he got promoted to Chief Technology Officer.
- In 2013, he founded the Non-profit association Taxi Gratis.[4]
- Alex Bobes joined CasinoAlpha.com and Extremoo Group in April 2022 as Chief Technology Officer.[5]
Philanthropy
Alex Bobes founded a Non-profit association named Taxi Gratis in 2013. The association works towards providing free transport service to people with disabilities or any severe disease who cannot afford to keep a car or taxi fares.[6] He lends his car, time and bears the petrol costs and helps the people in need.[7] He initially started with a Facebook page and a website to reach out to people and let them know about his service. People contact him a few days in advance before their ride and get confirmation a day before. Since he gets only a few free hours, through the association Alex Bobes expects to reach more sponsors and volunteers for his work.
