Transformational Theology is the spiritual[1] approach to integrating survivors of sexual exploitation diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder. Rev. Dr. Thomas Luke’s profoundly effective spiritual integration counseling system is a central tenet of transformational theology that facilitates recovery and integration of traumatic experiences. Luke claims he did not heal anyone during his theological practicum and that only the Spirit of Jesus integrated and healed the survivors he counseled. [Philippians 1:19, EXB Because I know ·this trouble [this] will ·bring my [result in] ·freedom [deliverance; or salvation], through your prayers and the ·help of [support from] the Spirit of Jesus Christ] Luke states that Rev. Dr. Norman Wise, the founder of Living Water Christian Counseling, taught him most of what he knows about this obscure and highly compelling integration methodology. In 2022, Dr. Wise supervised Luke’s theological practicum for a Ph.D. in Transformational Theology at Chaplains College School of Graduate Studies.

Transformational Theology, by Thomas Luke, includes lesson content based on its methods and applications. Rev. Dr. Thomas Luke was granted the Theological Practicum Award because two survivors he counseled were completely integrated within ninety days after experiencing dissociative identity disorder. All three survivors were healed of post-traumatic stress disorder within ninety days of implementation. Luke states that inviting the Spirit of Jesus (Philippians 1:19) into his spiritual integration counseling system is why this method is so effective, in contrast to the secular mental health approach to integration. Luke also states that Jesus is the one who decides how long it will take to heal and integrate each survivor. The ninety-day integration and healing of those he counseled for his theological practicum is not a guaranteed time frame for all survivors. Wikitia listed Thomas Luke, Ph.D., as their Top 30 Influential Christian Scholars in 2023 and World’s Top 30 Education Professionals for 2023.

History of Founding Father Theologians

The history of theology is vast and diverse, with five major systems of theology, such as biblical theology, systematic theology, practical theology, historical theology, and the more recent development of transformational theology. Thomas Luke, Ph.D., founded transformational theology on June 15, 2023 at his alma mater, Chaplains College School of Graduate Studies, where he is a distinguished research professor of transformational theology. Johann Philipp Gabler is widely considered the father of modern biblical theology, while Bartholomäus Keckermann is credited as the originator of the term systematic theology from the sixteenth century. Friedrich Daniel Ernst Schleiermacher is regarded as the father of modern practical theology, while historical theology has no founder.

Overview

Transformational theology is a theological concept that refers to a change of heart in a person that results in their disposition and temperament conforming to the divine image, a transformation from enmity to holiness and love—Webster's 1828 Dictionary. Transformational theology was founded by Thomas Luke, Ph.D., an American transformational theology scholar, theologian, researcher, distinguished research professor, award-winning distinguished Christian academic author, anti-child sex trafficking activist, certified spiritual integration counselor, certified crisis response and trauma counselor, ordained Christian crisis response chaplain, talk show host, TV producer, and founding father of transformational theology.

Dr. Luke’s spiritual integration counseling system, also known as "soul surgery," is a central tenet of transformational theology that facilitates recovery from and integration of traumatic experiences and is used for integrating survivors of sexual exploitation diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder. The process involves teaching the host personality how to evangelize and disciple their alter identities. In addition, Dr. Luke also guides the survivors to forgive those who raped and tortured them when they were children, resulting in a fractured psyche. Dr. Luke refers to this part of his process as deep emotional forgiveness exercises resulting in a spiritual integration counseling system and ultimately merging the host’s alter personalities into one identity. Dr. Luke states, “Obedience to scripture results in miracles!” [Matthew 6:14-15 Amplified Bible 14 For if you forgive others their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins], your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others [nurturing your hurt and anger with the result that it interferes with your relationship with God], then your Father will not forgive your trespasses.]

Transformational theology was born out of Rev. Dr. Thomas Luke’s spiritual integration counseling system, which he transferred to academia to be taught to chaplains and candidates wanting to earn a Ph.D. in Transformational Theology.

The key terms of transformational theology,[2] such as traumatic,[3] dissociation,[4] integration, theology, and spiritual, emphasize the importance of integrating the spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical aspects of the lives of the survivors suffering from dissociative identity disorder.[5] Theology is derived from established principles of faith, while spiritual refers to the renewed nature of human beings, relating to sacred things and not material things.[6][7]
