History of Founding Father Theologians

The history of theology is vast and diverse, with five major systems of theology, such as biblical theology, systematic theology, practical theology, historical theology, and the more recent development of transformational theology. Thomas Luke, Ph.D., founded transformational theology on June 15, 2023 at his alma mater, Chaplains College School of Graduate Studies, where he is a distinguished research professor of transformational theology. Johann Philipp Gabler is widely considered the father of modern biblical theology, while Bartholomäus Keckermann is credited as the originator of the term systematic theology from the sixteenth century. Friedrich Daniel Ernst Schleiermacher is regarded as the father of modern practical theology, while historical theology has no founder.

Testimony

Career

From 2021-2022, Luke was the talk show host and TV producer of The Rev Luke Show, which aired during prime time every Friday at 8:00 pm EST. In 2021, The NOW Television Network broadcast: The Rev Luke Show: Pilot: The Least of These.

Transformational Theology, Luke’s dissertation textbook, was based on required research for a Ph.D. in Transformational Theology. His book earned him seven distinguished Christian textbook awards, including the Founding Father of Transformational Theology Award, the Theological Practicum Award, and the Theologian’s Dissertation Textbook Award, to name three of the ten distinguished awards he received, granted to him on June 15, 2023. Furthermore, he has published 33 peer-reviewed journal articles.

During the focus group for his theological practicum, Luke’s spiritual integration counseling system helped facilitate healing and integration because he taught his counselees how to invite the Spirit of Jesus into their sessions. One respondent was afflicted with a split personality disorder, and the other with a multiple personality disorder totaling six identities. Dr. Thomas Luke completed ninety credit hours of coursework and was extensively mentored once weekly for three years.

Dr. Thomas Luke received the Distinguished Research Professor Award; this distinguished office, rank, and award required more research than most universities expect. The Board of Regents at Chaplains College School of Graduate Studies requires at least fourteen years of combined research within the same discipline instead of the traditional seven years. Dr. Luke has 20 years of combined research within the same discipline. The Board of Regents states that crisis response chaplaincy is a hazardous ministry. Therefore, lengthy scholarly research and two peer-reviewed, published textbooks, one including curricula, are of much higher value to Chaplains College School of Graduate Studies than tenure.

In addition to his work in Christian television and publishing, he is a Christian crisis response chaplain ordained by Chaplains International, Inc.[3] Rev. Dr. Thomas Luke was educated and trained to provide compassionate spiritual care to survivors of mass shootings, terrorist attacks, catastrophic disasters, and other high-trauma tragedies that can lead to post-traumatic stress disorder. He utilizes the profound counseling system his mentors taught him; spiritual integration counseling, also known as "soul surgery," is a central tenet of transformational theology that facilitates recovery from and integration of traumatic experiences. As his specialty, he counsels the traumatized by taking the spiritual approach to integrating survivors of sexual exploitation diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder.
