Tanner Kern (born October 24, 1997) is an American sports betting journalist, podcaster, and content creator. He has covered the National Football League (NFL), the National Basketball Association (NBA), Major League Baseball (MLB), and college sports, and is most notable for his work with the World Sports Network (WSN), covering various sports leagues and tournaments. He co-hosts WSN's sports betting podcast, "Ride The Line."[1]

Early life and education

Kern was born and raised in Essex, Connecticut. He began his athletic career as a football player at Lafayette College, culminating in a career-ending injury. Post-injury, he underwent a physical transformation, losing 140 pounds and transitioning to competitive running. In 2020, Kern ran 260 miles in a week, raising $17,000 for Foodshare during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kern holds a degree in American studies from the University of Connecticut. In 2023, he obtained a master's in sports journalism from Quinnipiac University.

Career

Kern was an assistant varsity football coach at Xavier High School. In 2020, he started as a contributing writer at Own the Slope, focusing on "how-to" articles, gear reviews, ski resorts, and travel reviews.

In February 2020, Kern launched the "Tanner Kern Podcast," sharing his weight-loss journey and featuring guests from diverse backgrounds to inspire listeners. Additionally, he served as the director of video content and content specialist at Knup Solutions, where he contributed game reviews, analysis, and news articles for various sports leagues.

Kern is a contributing author at WSN, specializing in football and basketball coverage. His strategic insights and betting recommendations are reflected in detailed prop bets for Monday and Sunday night football, extending to college football and basketball.
