The World Sports Network (WSN) is an online sports and betting website that provides comprehensive, unbiased, and meticulously researched data on online gambling in the United States and Canada. History
The World Sports Network (WSN) was established in China in 2005 as a consumer sports website focused on soccer.[2]
2008
To fund its expansion into additional sports verticals, WSN secured funding from Valhalla Investments Inc. and appointed Mark Blandford as its director.
2016
WSN was acquired by the Gaming Innovation Group and secured the domain name wsn.com.
2018
WSN was relaunched as a sports betting website targeting the US betting market.
2019
Over the years, WSN obtained vendor betting licenses from various state gaming regulatory boards to provide affiliate marketing services in the United States.
2020
WSN launched a weekly sports betting podcast, Wise Kracks hosted by Bill Krackomberger.
2022
In 2022, WSN expanded to launch an online casino section on its website. The website started publishing online casino reviews, sweepstakes casino reviews, and gambling guides to cater to the information needs of online casino gamblers in the United States and Canada.[3]
In addition to offering in-depth, comprehensive reviews, betting guides, and news articles, WSN also conducts various research studies cited in national and international publications. Notable projects include studying the player profiles of national teams participating in the World Cup 2022, depicting that 17% of players were not born in the country they represent. In another study, WSN researched the negativity tennis players were subjected to in Twitter posts and on Facebook.[4]
2023
In 2023, based on comprehensive research, WSN ranked the best tailgate locations in the NFL and college football across the United States.[5]
In March 2023, WSN ended its podcast Wise Kracks and launched a new podcast “Ride The Line.”
In April 2023, WSN reimagined sports stars as characters in Wes Anderson, which drew attention online and in news outlets.[6]
WSN now provides affiliate marketing services in more than 25 US states, including New Jersey, Indiana, Pennsylvania,[7] Colorado, West Virginia, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, Virginia, Wyoming, Arizona, Connecticut, Maryland, Louisiana, Kansas, New York, Tennessee, Ohio, Massachusetts, and Kentucky. The website also has a license to operate in Ontario, Canada.[8]
