Suri Nuthalapati is an Indian technology leader and innovator known for transforming industries with big data, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.[1] He is the founder of Farmioc, an agricultural technology company leveraging big data analytics; Trida Labs, a software development company; and Aanvc, a venture capital firm investing in technology startups in India.[2]

Nuthalapati is a technical leader at Cloudera, an enterprise data cloud company.[3] Throughout his career, Nuthalapati has been at the forefront of leveraging big data and artificial intelligence to develop innovative solutions. He is a member of the Forbes Technology Council and the Entrepreneur Leadership Network.[4][5]

The APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University in Kerala uses Nuthalapati's co-authored book "Scientific Computing with Python: A Hands-on Approach" for its B.Tech and M.Tech courses.[6]

Early life and education

Nuthalapati was born in India. After completing high school, Nuthalapati attended the R. V. R. & J. C. College of Engineering (affiliated with Acharya Nagarjuna University) and graduated as a computer science engineer. He is recognized as a ‘Distinguished Alumnus' by the R. V. R. and J. C. College of Engineering.

Nuthalapati moved to the United States to pursue his Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Memphis, Memphis, USA. During his master's, Nuthalapati was a graduate assistant at the university and interned at FedEx as a programmer analyst.

Career

Nuthalapati began his career as a programmer analyst at FedEx in 2015. Throughout his career, he has worked at several American multinational companies that served in shipping, e-commerce, retail, and telecommunications. His work on technologies such as enterprise applications, full-stack development, big data analytics, data science, machine learning, and AI sparked his interest in developing scalable technology products.[7]

In 2017, Nuthalapati joined Charter Communications as a principal architect for the company’s big data and machine learning platforms.[8]

In 2018, Nuthalapati started his entrepreneurial career. He established Farmioc, an Indian agricultural software development company focused on agriculture data analytics and a marketplace for agriculture commodities. The company's software products, including MarketHub, Agvisor, PriceHub, and DataStore, aggregate and process vast amounts of data sets related to agriculture using its proprietary algorithms and build predictive models that allow stakeholders in the agricultural value chain to make mission-critical business decisions via its SaaS platform.[9]

In 2021, Nuthalapati established Aanvc, a venture capital firm that invests in early-stage technology startups.

In June 2021, Nuthalapati founded Trida Labs, a data science and technology firm developing software for advanced data analytics. At Trida Labs, Nuthalapati leads the development of TridaPad, a cloud-native data analytics platform. TridaPad is an SQL editor that can query databases in SQL, NoSQL, Big Data, and cloud data sources. TridaPad enables data engineering teams to explore, analyze, and collaborate on data from many sources in a single interface, enabling organizations to maximize data value.

In 2022, Nuthalapati joined Cloudera, an enterprise data cloud company. As a technical leader at Cloudera, Nuthalapati has developed DocGenius AI, a generative AI chatbot that handles complex document-related queries and also drove many Fortune 500 clients deploy innovative solutions in big data, ML, and AI, ensuring Cloudera remains a key player in this transformative field.

In July 2024, Nuthalapati was accepted into the Forbes Technology Council. He is also a member of the Entrepreneur Leadership Network, contributing articles to Entrepreneur.com.

Nuthalapati co-wrote the academic textbook "Scientific Computing with Python: A Hands-on Approach”. The book is written per the ECL 201 course syllabus used by APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Kerala, and is used for the Bachelor of Technology and Master of Technology programs.
