M.V.Ramana Murthy is the Director for Deep Ocean Mission and Director at National Centre for Coastal Research, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India[1]. He devised Coastal Protection Strategies for Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha[2]. He had contributed in the Offshore Wind Development for Gujarat and Tamil Nadu and Demonstration of substructure .

Education

He completed his B.E. in Civil engineering from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Andhra Pradesh and obtained M.Tech. and Ph.D. in Ocean Engineering from IIT Madras, Chennai.He has also done Masters degree in Planning from School of Planning, CEPT Ahmedabad.
