Joanna Lewis (born January 25, 1998) is an American model, actress, professional makeup artist, entrepreneur, and producer.[1] She is the founder and CEO of Lewis Entertainment Inc., an entertainment company that offers free worldwide distribution through Amazon Prime Video. As an actor, Lewis is known for portraying the role of Xael in Asgaya, a five-movie trilogy created and directed by Toni Morgan Haye. She recently secured a worldwide, indefinite contract with L’Oréal hair and was featured as one of the Top 10 Female Entrepreneurs of 2020 by New York Weekly.[3]

Early life and education

Lewis was born and raised in Ukiah, California, the daughter of Shane Charles Lewis and Lori Ann Palma. When she was 2, her family relocated to their hometown, Monterey Bay, California. She graduated from the community college named Monterey Peninsula College. At 16, Lewis moved to Los Angeles and enrolled in Michael Vincent Academy to pursue a certification course as a professional makeup artist.

Career

Lewis began her career as a makeup artist at Pop Down Studio. In 2016, she worked as a public relations intern at Fashion Week Los Angeles.

As a fashion model, Lewis is known to have appeared in various TV commercials and projects, including Coty, Wella, Hollister Co., Pulp Riot, and e.l.f. Cosmetics. She has also recently signed a worldwide, indefinite contract with L’Oréal hair. She has also worked as a campaign specialist at Grizzly Peak’s cannabis campaign with Soulja Boy.

As an actress, Lewis first appeared in two episodes of a TV series, Video Love (2015), released on MTV UK and Southern and Eastern Europe. In 2018, she appeared in Alex Inc season 1, episode 6 of “The Cop Car.”

In December 2018, Lewis launched JoJo Swim, a swimsuit company that provided affordable swimsuits for women of all shapes and sizes. Within the first six months of her business, her products sold in more than 300 locations. This led her to create a modern high-fashion collection in spring 2021.[4]

In 2018, she took up the role of Xael in Asgaya, a five-movie trilogy produced and directed by Toni Morgan Haye. Other TV series, music videos, and podcast series in which Lewis is known to have appeared include Dax: Suffocating, Shade Force, City Girls: Take Yo Man, Corrupt Crimes, and Scandal.

In 2021, Lewis founded Lewis Entertainment Inc., an entertainment firm that gives free worldwide distribution.[5] The company recently partnered with Amazon Prime Video to allow independent film artists to get their work noticed, which Hollywood would usually never grant. Furthermore, Lewis Entertainment, Inc is currently developing numerous revolutionary films and TV shows that are expected to be the next big thing in Hollywood.
