Monterey Peninsula College, sometimes known simply as MPC, is a public community college that can be found in Monterey, California. It was founded in 1947 and is now a member of the system of California Community Colleges. Two more MPC campuses may be found in the cities of Marina and Seaside in California respectively. Dr. Mark Zacovic is serving as president of the institution in an interim capacity at the moment.

Monterey Peninsula College first opened its doors in 1947 on the grounds of what was once Monterey High School. In 1961, the high school and the college were officially split apart.

MPC will offer 55 distinct associate degrees in subjects like as health, business, and STEM as of the 2022-2023 academic year. In addition, the college will offer 32 degrees that are geared for transfer to a university in order to get a bachelor's degree in the same field. The present agreement between MPC and California State University ensures that MPC students will be accepted into CSU for 14 of their transfer degrees. Additionally, they provide a wide variety of certifications.
