Gabriel Radulescu (born June 12, 1980) is a Dubai-based Romanian fashion and commercial photographer.[1] He is the founder of Gabriel R Photography and Fashion Journey, a fashion-focused concept project that brings together photographers, models, make-up artists, videographers, and businesses to generate unique content in stunning locations.[2]
Radulescu’s iconic portraits are known for featuring high-profile celebrities.[3] He has shot cover photographs for a number of international magazines like Playboy, FHM, and MAXIM Australia. His work was also featured in a special editorial by Harper's Bazaar Vietnam.[4]
Early life and education
Radulescu was born on June 12, 1980 in Transylvania. He later enrolled in the National Academy of Physical Education and Sport in Bucharest, where he acquired a Sport Science degree with a specialization in martial arts. While pursuing his master’s degree in Kinesiology, Radulescu also worked as a massage and reflexology teacher in Bucharest.
Career
Radulescu started his career as a professional photographer in 2012. Prior to that, he pursued photography as a passion alongside working in the fitness, beauty, and physical therapy industries. He worked on cruise ships for almost a decade as a massage therapist and as a spa director.[5]
Upon his visit to Hawaii in 2012, Radulescu decided to pursue photography as a full-time career and upgraded his point-and-shoot Sony camera to a Canon DSLR. Initially, Radulescu learned the basics of photography during his time in Hawaii—composition, manual settings, colors, and post-production. Soon, he gained recognition for his unique eye and began contacting shoots for magazines and other media outlets.[6]
As of 2021, Radulescu is residing in Dubai working on his newest project, Fashion Journey, which aims to bring together photographers, models, make-up artists, videographers, and businesses and generate unique content in several beautiful locations from around the world. He has also been published in notable publications such as Yahoo,[7] Yahoo Lifestyle,[8] and Yahoo News.[9]

Radulescu is fluent in English, Romanian, and Spanish.
