Dhaval Panchal (born November 21, 1990) is an Indian-British entrepreneur, model, actor, content creator, and social media influencer.[1][2] Initially he got fame when he was became Mr. India Global,[3][4] and became more famous for his viral lip-sync videos and short video content that he often shares on his social handles, while attracting a number of imitators. Panchal’s videos have gained attention on social media and he has been able to gain a following of over 700,000+ followers on Instagram. His Instagram effects have over 1 million impressions and his prank video on YouTube has over 1.5 million views.[5]

Born in London, Panchal developed an interest in modeling at an early age and completed a certification in acting. He has been seen in several movies and has worked with celebrities in Hollywood and Bollywood.[6] Since then his reputation grew and Panchal became a renowned face that helped him to gain early traction and following on his social handles. On different occasions, he has collaborated with brands for their marketing campaigns on his Insta handle.[7][8]

As of July 2022, Panchal’s net worth is more than $3 million. He has attained widespread critical and commercial success, publications including Fox, NBC, and ABC named him one of the most anticipated influencers of 2018.[9][10]

Early life and education

Panchal was born in London, spent some time in India, and was raised in the United States. Pradip Panchal and Hina Panchal, both business owners, gave birth to him. From the very beginning, Dhaval shared a passion for the fashion and modeling industry and started modeling while attending high school.

However, his parents were a little conservative about his decision to pursue fashion modeling, yet he managed to win their hearts and started working to pursue his passion. At the same time, he continued to help the expansion of his family business. Despite his family never having gone to college, Dhaval was keen towards education and attended the University of South Carolina Aiken.[11] He holds a double Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts and Computer Science.

Career

In 2010, Panchal was offered the first modeling opportunity by the Barbizon Modeling & Acting School and has devoted the last seven years to serving the entertainment industry. Upon realizing his passion for modeling and acting, he went on to attain certification from the Acting & Modeling School.[12]

After obtaining a certificate from an acting and modeling school, Dhaval sought collaboration with casting directors. In doing so, he was able to successfully land acting gigs in movies such as The Mule,[13] Let’s Be Cops, The Hunger Games, and The Internship. He also had the opportunity to be on TV, with credits on shows such as Necessary Roughness, Homeland, and Single Ladies.[14]

Dhaval has worked with several world-renowned celebrities, such as Josh Hutcherson, Jennifer Lawrence, Damon Wayans, Jake Johnson, Owen Wilson, and Vince Vaughn, to name a few. He has also worked with Bollywood stars such as Mickey Singh, Jay Sean, and Imran Khan.

Panchal is also an Instagram AR Creator[15] and has created a few exciting AR Filters, gaining over 3 million impressions on the app. His AR Filters include Old Bollywood Classic Movies, Bollywood Actresses, Bollywood Actors, Family Guy, and Cartoon Characters. He is also famous for his viral lip-sync videos and short video content. Following this, Dhaval was named one of the Most Highly Anticipated Influencers of 2018 by Fox, NBC, ABC, etc.[16]

This fame led to Dhaval’s popularity on Instagram, where he blew up. His new found social media success gave him the motivation to pursue a profession as an Instagram influencer.[17] This further created the opportunity for collaborations with well-known brands, including Vitamin Shoppe, Big Baller Brand, and Express.[18]

Dhaval recently worked on the movie ‘Ghosted’ with Chris Evans and Ana de Armas, which is expected to be released in 2023. He further aims to play leading roles in blockbuster films and work with high-end brands such as Gucci or Louis Vuitton.[19][20]

Other work

Besides the fashion and movie industries, Dhaval is also a financial advisor and an entrepreneur. He works as an insurance agent in the United States.[21][22]

Awards and Recognition

In 2014, Panchal became Mr. India America East Coast and in the subsequent year was endowed with the Mr. South Asian United States of America award. He has also been honored as ABC's Bachelor Night Award Winner and Star Plus TV People’s Choice Award Winner. Dhaval won Mr. India Global 2018 as well.[23][24]

Personal life

Dhaval has an older sister, Sejal Panchal, who resides in California. He is an enthusiastic basketball fan and enjoys playing video games. Panchal is a die-hard fan of the Los Angeles Lakers. On different occasions he has shared that his favorite sportsperson is Kobe Bryant.

He enjoys the rich delicacies of Italian and Mexican cuisine. His favorite Bollywood stars include Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Aishwariya Rai, in Hollywood he follows Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, and Will Smith. Panchal lives his life after the words of great people like Mahatma Gandhi and Winston Churchill.

The meaning of Dhaval is "white" and it also translates to "purity." His favorite colors are red, blue, and white.
