Cindy May McGuire (born June 27, 1996) is a Indonesian-American general practitioner, actress, auditor, model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2022.[1][2] She will represent Indonesia in the Miss International 2022 pageant which is scheduled to be held in Japan.[3][4]
Early life and education
Cindy was born in Cirebon, West Java - Indonesia to an American father Alexandrew (Lex) Davidson McGuire from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a Sundanese mother Nelly Yulistin from Ciamis Regency, West Java.[5] In addition, Cindy has a brother named Jason Maxwell McGuire.
Since childhood, Cindy has been accustomed to changing places of residence, she has moved to the United States, Singapore, Australia, as well as Bandung and Ciamis Regency in West Java - Indonesia.[4] Cindy studied at Leongatha Secondary College in the city of Leongatha in Victoria, Australia for a year before finally moving to Ciamis Regency, West Java and attending SMA Negeri 2 Ciamis.[5]
Cindy often participates in student exchange programs to several countries, one of which she participated in the 2013 Senior High Student Exchange to Australia. In 2015, while still studying at Leongatha Secondary College in Victoria, Australia, Cindy participated in the 2015 Excellent Medical Student Exchange program to the Netherlands.[1]
Cindy has completed her undergraduate education and earned a Bachelor of Medicine in Professional Medical Program and a Doctor of Medicine from the Bandung Islamic University in Bandung, West Java. Currently, Cindy is pursuing a double master's degree; Master of Health Leadership and Management/Master of Infectious Diseases Intelligence at the University of New South Wales in the city of Sydney in New South Wales - Australia.[4]
Career
On 31 May 2022, together with her fellow Puteri Indonesia 2022 winners, Laksmi De-Neefe Suardana and Adinda Cresheilla, Cindy was appointed as the 2022 G20 Bali summit Ambassador by the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, at the Istana Negara (Jakarta), as part of the Indonesian presidency at the upcoming seventeenth meeting of the G20 in Bali.[6][7][8]

Miss Tourism World Indonesia 2021
At the end of 2020, the organizers of Miss Tourism World Indonesia officially announced that they had appointed Cindy as Miss Tourism World Indonesia 2021.[3][9] Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she canceled competing in Miss Tourism World 2021 which was originally going to be held in China, because the organization has canceled the event.[9]
Puteri DKI Jakarta 2022
In 2022, Cindy re-entered the beauty contest by participating in the provincial selection of participants Puteri DKI Jakarta 2022, where she was finally successfully selected as the representative of DKI Jakarta 5. After successfully holding her title as Puteri Indonesia DKI Jakarta 5 2022, Cindy represented the province Jakarta 5 in the national level beauty contest Puteri Indonesia 2022.
Puteri Indonesia 2022
After successfully qualifying as one of the representatives and winners of Indonesia DKI Jakarta 2022, Cindy represented the province DKI Jakarta 5 in the national level beauty contest Puteri Indonesia 2022 which was held on 27 May 2022 after being delayed for one year due to COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia.
At the end of the event, she was successfully crowned as the 1st Runner-up or as the winner of Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2022 by her predecessor Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2020, Putu Ayu Saraswati from Bali.[1][2] Cindy was crowned along with her fellow Puteri Indonesia Queens; Laksmi De-Neefe Suardana and Adinda Cresheilla.[10][11]
On the eve of the coronation, Saraswati announced that she was withdrawing from the competition and handed over her entire position as Miss International Indonesia|Miss International Indonesia 2022 to Cindy. The coronation night was attended by Miss International 2019, Sireethorn Leearamwat from Thailand who were appointed as guest judges.[12]
Miss International 2022
As Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2022, Cindy will represent Indonesia at the Miss International 2022 contest held at Tokyo Dome City Hall, Tokyo, Japan On December 13, 2022, this event was postponed for two years due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 Pandemic in Japan.[3][9]

Cindy started her acting career as an extra in the comedy program Lapor Pak! which aired on Trans7 in 2021.
