Vasileios Nektarios Sagonas (Short: Vasilis Sagonas; Greece|Greek: Βασίλειος Νεκτάριος Σαγώνας; 28 January 1983) known professionally as V-Sag is a Greece music producer, pianist, DJ and music teacher.[1][2][3][4]
Early Life
Vasilis has two sisters who have influenced and took care of him while his parents were working to afford the family needs. They encouraged him to study on a music school and struggled to pay for the tuition. He attended a computer school for toddlers and since he acquired enough computer knowledge he worked since he was 8 years old as an internet technical assistant to save money and afford a computer on which he started learning to compose music using DAW on MS-DOS.[4]
He came out as gay to his friends and family on his early teens and as a shy person he started expressing his feelings through music.[4][5]
Career
In 2006, Sagonas released a single Fossil[6] at Pure Substance record label and starts touring around the world. The same year, Hernan Cattaneo picked Sagonas' single I Wasn't Impressed Enough[7] as one of his favorites which was released on Dave Seaman|Dave Seaman's record label, Audio Therapy (record label). In 2008, he collaborated with the record labels Armada, EMI and Universal and gained significance success with his release Feather. At the same year he composes the titles music of the soundtrack of the movie Alter Ego staring the Greek singer Sakis Rouvas. Quinlan Road, the record label of the singer Loreena Mckennitt signed V-Sag and released his remix of the song Marrakesh Nigh Market. Vasilis then recreated a version of I Totally Miss You of the 80s band Bad Boys Blue and included it on his album Feather with the official license of their label Universal Music Group. The later years he composes the albums Heartfeels, Out Of My Way and Emotions.
On 2013 he performs live at Athens Concert Hall with Alexandra McKay[8] and on 2017 with his release Lonely, gains attention on the Greek music industry[1][9], which is included as soundtrack at MEGA Channel Cinema prime advertisement spot and trends #1 on Greek Shazam and YouTube[4].
V-Sag is currently working with Shaya (singer)[10][11] and has released 7 albums by The Sound Of Everything UK in collaboration with The Orchard (company)|The Orchard and Sony Music.
