Slick Estimates is a free, online platform designed specifically for home-improvement professionals in order to view new job opportunities and issue price estimates remotely. History
Slick Estimates is a web-based platform, headquartered in Tampa, Florida, United States. The platform was founded by a team of experienced home improvement professionals who recognized the need for a technological solution to streamline the sales process in the home improvement industry. The platform was designed specifically for home improvement professionals to enable them to view potential jobs and issue estimates remotely, saving them time and increasing their efficiency.[2]
Slick Estimates has already significantly impacted the industry by solving the initial part of the sales process, where a potential client contacts a contractor and asks for an estimate. Traditionally, the sales process required a face to face visit, which was time consuming and inefficient. Slick Estimates has addressed this challenge by creating a comprehensive platform that streamlines the sales process from start to finish.[3]
Slick Estimates uses P2P technology to connect professional contractors and homeowners with streaming video. No additional application download is required to use the platform.
Professionals dealing with potential customer or other sales inquiry simply need to enter the client’s info and choose a time and date for the video call. An automatic invite is delivered to the client’s inbox where they are asked to accept the online appointment, at which point the time and date is added to both parties calendar. During the video-call the homeowner can flip their mobile camera to do a virtual walk-through of the job site. While on the video call the contractor is able to snap pics of the video and to take notes directly onto the screen. The photos and notes are saved in the contractors online account at Slick Estimates for later review when preparing the estimate for the customer.
The platform also provides professionals with templates which can be customised to include their logo and company information on the estimate.
