Shahin Zartosht (born 30 November 1987) is an Iranian-Canadian fashion designer, model, and stylist.[1] He is the founder of SZ, a leading clothing brand known for its handmade outfits. Zartosht is also the author of the best-selling modeling book titled A Guide To Becoming A Model which is available on all major platforms.[2]
Zartosht rose to fame in the early 2000s and has over two decades of experience in the fashion industry. He has modeled for numerous global fashion brands including D&G, Romance, CANCEL, and Wilson, and has also gained recognition as a model trainer.[3]
Early life and education
Zartosht was born on 30 November 1987 in Tehran-Iran. After graduating from high school, he enrolled in the Islamic Azad University, where he acquired a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering in 2012. Zartosht then received the fashion and clothing design certificates from Oxford College of fashion and apparel, a Ticket certificate of fashion and design, and a TNRS fashion stylist certificate.
Career
Zartosht began his career in the early 2000s as a model alongside Canan Kozmetik. Since then, he has worked alongside numerous brands and participated in multiple fashion shows across the world in major cities including Turkey, UAE, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Canada.[4]
In 2006 he joined FC Plus, where he worked for over five years, first as a fashion buyer and then as a national visual merchandising director. In 2008, Zartosht also began working as a model trainer, coaching aspiring models to hone their skills.[5]
In 2011, Zartosht became a visual director at Maxim, where he worked for over six years. In 2017, he was appointed as the regional visual manager for YM Inc. where he worked for over three years and then decided to start his own firm.[6]
In 2021, Zartosht launched SZ, a high fashion brand that is quickly gaining market traction for its sustainable, artistic handmade clothing. The company specializes in casual-luxury products that incorporate Gothic, Asian, and European styles primarily reflected in monochromatic collections.
