Said bin Sultan Dhamija (born 20 August 1990) is an Emirati business executive and entrepreneur in technology, real estate, hospitality, and engineering from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
He is the President and CEO of ADCN (Al Dawliah Capital Network LLC),[1] a private holding company in Abu Dhabi with assets over USD 11.5 Billion, and the CEO of Cadena, a multinational technology and Go-to-Market services company.
Early life and education
Sid Dhamija was born on 20 August 1990 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. His father had a career in the Abu Dhabi oil and gas industry, working for ADNOC. His mother was a professor at the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) in Abu Dhabi.
Dhamija completed his high school education at The International School of Choueifat in Abu Dhabi. He then pursued a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering at the University of California, San Diego. He furthered his education with a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Ph.D. in data models and artificial intelligence from the UAE Center for Industrial Engineering Institute (CIE Institute UAE).
Career
Sid Dhamija has held various leadership positions in different areas. He serves as the Vice Chairman of the India-Saudi Arabia Business Council (ISABC)[2] and the Secretary General of the India-Mexico Trade Council He holds several chairmanships, including at Bambu Real Estate, Northern River Restaurant Group, Suntari Resorts Maldives, ADCN Engineering Services, and ADCN Energy. Additionally, he is the Honorary Chancellor and Chief Researcher at the Center for Industrial Engineering Institute.
In 2017, Sid Dhamija co-founded Cadena, a multinational services and technology company.[3]
Initially overseeing several group-wide digital transformation initiatives, he was appointed as president and CEO of ADCN, Abu Dhabi's major diversified private holding company which owns several entities including ADCN Energy and ADCN Engineering Services.
He has held senior positions in trade bodies such as India-Saudi Arabia Business Council, India Mexico Business Council & World Bank GCC Chapter and Gulf Development Fund.
He has addressed Royal Committees and Governmental Bodies across the GCC region as a business leader and subject matter expert.
Public activities
Sid Dhamija founded and chairs the Sid Dhamija Family Foundation, focused on supporting humanitarian initiatives led by nonprofit organizations and educational institutions globally. It works to meet the basic human needs of the socioeconomically disadvantaged youth, the aged, persons with physical, emotional, and mental disabilities, and those with the fewest material resources.
His fund supports nonprofit initiatives in the areas of mental, behavioral, and physical healthcare, persons with disabilities, disadvantaged youth, crisis assistance, religious organizations, veterans, victims of violence or human trafficking, senior citizens, and humanitarian issues. Sid Dhamija Family Foundation fund supports nonprofit initiatives that provide clean water, sustainable water infrastructures, nutritional and food access programs, school meal programs, agricultural research, and development for sustainable hunger solutions. It also supports educational initiatives through public and private schools, colleges, universities, trade schools, scholarships, academic leadership, policy, practice, and academic research addressing global affairs and effective, scalable, innovative programs for poverty.
Sid Dhamija Family Foundation partners with the University of Notre Dame, the Institute for Global Development, the Integration Lab (iLab), the Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities (LEO), and the World Peace Plaza.
