Rajnish Bajpai is an Indian software professional and Social Entrepreneur based in California, U.S.A. He is best known as the Founder of SmartGaon, a non-profit organization operating in India (praised by Prime Minister of India – Narendra Modi in his Nationwide public addressal program, Mann Ki Baat), working towards the integrated development of rural areas.[1][2]

Bajpai is Certified Agile Professional and extensive experience in delivering Technology products/Services in a high growth environment.[3] He has strong Experience in building and managing cross-functional teams across the globe. He is also advisor of various IEEE International Technical Conferences & Startups on latest technology and innovation.[4]

Education

Bajpai was born and raised in a village called Taudhakpur in Raebareli (Uttar Pradesh). After completing schooling from Lalganj (Raebareli), Bajpai received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Bhopal and his master’s degree from the IIIT Hyderabad. He has also completed multiple certification courses in software development and Product Management. He also wrote multiple research papers on latest technologies.

Career

After graduating in 2006, Bajpai joined Synopsys Inc, a leading US based software development company based in California. During his career, he has held multiple positions and recognized with various internal awards. Bajpai is also known as renowned Agile Professional and IoT Solution expert.

As part of Social responsibilities, Rajnish Bajpai is Founder & Chairman of SmartGaon Development Foundation which provides Outreach platform to Non-Profits, Private/Public/Government Organizations of various sectors to come together and with Innovative & collaborative approach work towards Integrated Development of Rural Areas.[5] He designed an App called SmartGaon along with his friend Yogesh Sahu,[6] that not only connects an entire Village population internally but also with the developed World. This Innovation & contribution towards Rural India has been admired by Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi during his Nationwide public addressal program, Mann Ki Baat. The main objective of SmartGaon is to transform the village into a Sanitized, Self-Reliant & Digitally Empowered Society.[7]

As Bajpai was born and raised in a village so always passionate to improve quality life in rural areas by applying the latest Technology and Innovation. He focuses on 3E’s development -

  • Education: Assist in empowering Rural Area Schools with 21st Century Skills so that students can be creative, innovative, future-ready and future-fit.
  • Employment: Assist in empowering Youth with Employment based skills so that take smart decisions, independent, innovative and become self-reliant.[8]
  • Entrepreneurship: To promote Rural Entrepreneurship, Rajnish provides technical and business assistance to small and early stage Startups which are working towards Rural Livelihoods & Rural Health Improvement sector.[9]
