Paul Robert Turner (born 3 July 1964 in Worcester, England) was appointed British High Commissioner to the Solomon Islands and non-resident High Commissioner to Nauru in January 2025.[1] He has previously held posts in the World Bank in Uganda; the African Development Bank; the UK Department for International Development (DFID) in Zimbabwe, South Africa and in the Balkans. He was Head of the UK Government aid office in Kosovo following the conflict and also worked for the EU on development programmes in Afghanistan.He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
