He is also a co-founder of Connected Health, a healthcare company based in the United Arab Emirates.[1] He has served as Senior Vice President of Dubai Science Park, Dubai International Academic City and Dubai Knowledge Park. Earlier, he held management positions at Dubai Biotechnology and Research Park, also known as DuBiotech, and TECOM Investments’ Science Cluster.[2][3][4]

Education

Janahi studied business administration at the University of Texas at Arlington. In a profile published by Gulf News, he said that he enrolled in 2000 and returned to the UAE after completing his studies.[2] An Entrepreneur Middle East contributor biography also lists professional development programmes at Cranfield University and INSEAD.[3]

Career

After university, Janahi joined Dubai Aluminium Company as a graduate trainee. His work there included assignments in technical operations and sales and marketing. He subsequently worked for a family trading business before joining Dubai Biotechnology and Research Park as a sales manager in 2006.[2]

At DuBiotech, Janahi moved into business development and later became Executive Director of TECOM Investments’ Science Cluster, which included DuBiotech and the Energy and Environment Park. His responsibilities covered the operation of the business districts and their engagement with companies in the life sciences and environmental sectors.[2] Entrepreneur Middle East states that he became Executive Director in 2013.[3]

Janahi later became Senior Vice President of Dubai Science Park, a TECOM Group business district. His role expanded to include Dubai International Academic City and Dubai Knowledge Park. MedTech World identified him as Senior Vice President of all three districts in November 2025.[4]

Connected Health

Janahi co-founded Connected Health with Walid Bahri. Bahri serves as the company's chief executive officer, while Janahi is identified as a co-founder. In November 2025, both were named in coverage of Connected Health's partnership with Novo Nordisk in the United Arab Emirates.[5]

Science, healthcare and education initiatives

As a representative of Dubai Science Park, Janahi has spoken publicly about the development of the life sciences and medical technology sectors in Dubai. In a 2025 interview with MedTech World, he discussed opportunities for medical technology businesses in the Gulf Cooperation Council region, including regional partnerships, research and the use of healthcare data.[4]

Janahi has also represented TECOM Group’s education districts in cooperation with public institutions. In September 2025, he signed an agreement with Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority on behalf of Dubai International Academic City and Dubai Knowledge Park. The agreement addressed cooperation in higher education, research, entrepreneurship and international outreach.[6]
