Luisa Cámere Quiroz (born January 30, 1951, in Lima, Peru) is a Peruvian-American poet, writer, visual artist, educator, and international cultural promoter.[1] She is widely recognized for her poetry collection Mutilada de mil maneras (Mutilated in a Thousand Ways, Amazon, 2021) and her lifelong dedication to education and cultural advocacy across borders.[2] Her work blends the worlds of literature, art, and education, and she serves as an influential figure in Latin American literary and artistic circles.[3][4]

Education and Career

Luisa Cámere graduated as a primary education teacher from the National Institute of Education (INIDE) in Peru, with a second specialty in visual arts. She later earned her Bachelor's degree in Education from the National University of San Marcos. After completing her studies, she moved to the United States where she continued her work in early education, eventually becoming the director and manager of six educational centers across the counties of Orange, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo in California.[5]

She holds a credential as a Director of Early Education Programs in the U.S. and has participated as a judge in numerous international literary competitions. In July 2024, she was awarded the title of Literary Critic by the Peruvian Academy of Language.

Cultural and Literary Work

Luisa Cámere Quiroz is the President of CIESART, Estados Unidos working under the Internacional Chamber of Writers and Artist with Lily Baylon. She serves as the Global President of the International Circle of Cultural Ambassador under the umbrella of CCI Utopia Poetica Universal Universal, Alma Mater, Manuel Equihua Estrella since Mexico thought around the world. She is also Cultural Ambassador.[6][7]

Her literary and cultural development has been deeply influenced by her mother, an educator and owner of a private school who nurtured Luisa in a rich environment of arts and education.[8] She absorbed poetry, music, painting, and dance from a young age, and this holistic artistic foundation became the essence of her life's work.[9]

In recent years, she has worked closely with Italian writer and cultural promoter Elisa Mascia, who invited her to participate in global platforms such as the Panorama International Festival 2024–2025, as well as bilingual literary interviews and publications.[10][11]
