Ivy Dominique (born May 30) is an accomplished actress, model, nurse, philanthropist, and advocate who has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. As an international model, she has walked the runways of Milan, Paris, and New York Fashion Weeks and appeared on the covers of international fashion magazines such as Harper’s Bazaar, and Glamour Magazine.[1]

Dominique is also a successful actress, having appeared in several TV series, films, and short movies, such as Succession, The Good Fight, The Judas Kiss, and The Things We Take. She is a keynote speaker at international conferences and events, advocating for social issues, and has won several awards for her bravery and advocacy work.[2]

Early life and education

Dominique was born and raised in Philadelphia. She holds a Ph.D. in psychology and is a licensed nurse with certifications in cognitive behavior therapy, grief, and trauma. She is also an analog astronaut candidate, researching space medicine, technology, and human factors. In addition, she is pursuing a medical degree and is involved in several philanthropic and advocacy pursuits.[3][4]

Growing up in a household with an alcoholic mother and an abusive stepfather, Dominique experienced abuse from a young age. In her 20s, she was in an abusive and controlling relationship that nearly took her life.[5]

Career

Dominique started her modeling career as a side job and gradually gained recognition in the fashion industry in New York, expanding her profile to Los Angeles and other international markets. She walked the runways at several high-profile fashion events, including Milan, Paris, and New York Fashion Weeks, and appeared on the covers of several international fashion magazines, including Harper's Bazaar, and Glamour Magazine. Dominique's career in modeling has led to her being featured on multiple billboards in Times Square, including her first NASDAQ billboard in Times Square, New York, for Burning Guitars.[6]

Dominique has made a name for herself as an accomplished actress and producer. She has appeared in TV shows such as The Good Fight and Successions and several award-winning independent films, such as The Judas Kiss and Clean Slate. Her most recent project was producing the film, "Jack Be Nimble," which stars Bai Ling, Vernon Wells, and her husband, Steve Silver. Dominique finds inspiration in the lives of her nursing patients, which led to her interest in character development and the creative representation of lives other than her own.[7]

Dominique is also an advocate for various social issues such as PTSD, domestic violence, consent, sexual assault, human trafficking, invisible illnesses, mental health, and veterans. She has shared her experience as a survivor of domestic violence and sexual abuse to assist others. She has assisted hundreds of women in achieving independence, healing, and living their best lives. Dominique's advocacy work has brought her to speak at international conferences and the United Nations, where she raises awareness and advocates for change.[8]
