History

Hotpack Global was founded in 1995 by Abdul Jebbar PB[3] and Zainudeen PB.[4] The company was first established as Majid Plastics as a trading company of disposable food packaging services later transformed as a backward integration strategy into an integrated manufacturing entity with the mission of manufacturing everything in the food packaging products portfolio. Its team continued to research the UAE market and launched the brand ‘Hotpack’ in the year 2000. The company was born with the objective of protecting the environment and minimizing the resources used in product development.[5]

Through its initiatives, Hotpack aims to minimise CO2 emissions and make our planet a better place. The company has over 3500 products in its portfolio and has expertise in making products from paper, plastic and aluminium. To date, 96% of the Hotpack manufactured products are compostable, biodegradable or recyclable. This continued vision and focus was recently recognised with Hotpack appointed a finalist in the Gulf Sustainability Awards 2022.[6]
