Hotpack Global was founded in 1995 by Abdul Jebbar PB[3] and Zainudeen PB.[4] The company was first established as Majid Plastics as a trading company of disposable food packaging services later transformed as a backward integration strategy into an integrated manufacturing entity with the mission of manufacturing everything in the food packaging products portfolio. Its team continued to research the UAE market and launched the brand ‘Hotpack’ in the year 2000. The company was born with the objective of protecting the environment and minimizing the resources used in product development.[5]

Through its initiatives, Hotpack aims to minimise CO2 emissions and make our planet a better place. The company has over 3500 products in its portfolio and has expertise in making products from paper, plastic and aluminium. Hotpack also has 25,000 international brands as clients and 3,300 employees from 30 nationalities across 13 countries.

Also it has the largest online store with 3500+ products.

Sustainability & Environment

From the outset, Hotpack has directed both its product range and Customer base towards a portfolio that are environmentally friendly and fulfill the acceptable role that disposable packaging has to play in the circular economy. To date, 96% of the Hotpack manufactured products are compostable, biodegradable or recyclable. This continued vision and focus was recently recognised with Hotpack appointed a finalist in the Gulf Sustainability Awards 2022.[6]

Hotpack's disposable food packaging solutions[7] include environmentally friendly kraft boxes, trays, paper bags, paper cups, takeaway containers, aluminum foil, and flexible packaging products. The company’s ultra-modern PET extrusion plant produces recyclable bakery containers, salad bowls, juice cups, etc. Hotpack also specialises in the production of facial tissues, napkins, kitchen rolls, and toilet rolls under the brand "Soft n Cool." Company's portfolio includes 3500+ products that are 40% paper-based, 40% plastic-based, 10% aluminium-based, and 10% eco-based, including wood, bamboo, bagasse, and moulded pulp.

Partnerships and Agreements

Hotpack Global signed a terminal agreement with DP World to export its products through the Jebel Ali Port.[8] It also announced a regional expansion in Morocco,[9] joining hands with Retail Holding through its investment arm, Best Financiers.

Hotpack Global plans to invest $95 million over the next 10 years to build 10 biodegradable packaging plants in Malaysia,[10][11] becoming the first-ever factory in Southeast Asia.

Awards and Milestones

Hotpack Global has won several awards, including the Dubai Smart Industry Award 2020. Its Managing Director, Abdul Jebbar PB, was honored with the CEO for LIFE Award at ECI United Arab Emirates & Global Awards 2022.[12][13]
