People who were born in Australia yet have Filipino heritage are known as Filipino Australians. Within the larger category of "Filipino diaspora," Filipinos who emigrated to Australia make up one of the most populous subgroups. There were 408,836 persons in Australia who responded to the census in 2021 and said that they had Filipino ancestry (either alone or in conjunction with another ethnicity). This figure represents 1.6 percent of the total population of Australia. According to estimates provided by the Australian Bureau of Statistics in 2021, there were 310,620 people living in Australia who were born in the Philippines.

At this time, Filipinos make up the third biggest group of Asian immigrants in Australia, falling behind Chinese Australians and Indian Australians respectively. There are 61 percent more women than men among Filipino Australians who were born in the Philippines. The male population accounts for 39 percent.
