Dr James Fleckenstein is a Radiologist[1] based in Chicago, Illinois.[2] He is currently practicing and has a medical license in 4 different states.[3] Dr. Fleckenstein is an industry leader in the area of advanced imaging techniques. He has over 20 years of professional experience, and he is a former Professor of Radiology from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas Texas.[4][5]

Personal Life and Education

Dr. Fleckenstein received his M.D. from the University of Washington School of Medicine in 1984 where he also received his Bachelors of Science in Biology.[6]

Currently, James lives in Chicago, Illinois where he is an avid bicyclist and skier. He is a published poet, and he is currently working on his first novel. Dr. Fleckenstein is an advocate for the environment, and active in non-profits for children with cancer.[7][8]

Dr James Fleckenstein currently practices Radiology in Chicago Illinois.[9] He specializes in the areas of neuroradiology, diagnostic radiology, musculoskeletal, and oncological imaging. Along with this, Dr. Fleckenstein further specializes in healthcare IT, personal injury and various healthcare legal issues.[10]

Dr. Fleckenstein has over 20 years of professional experience both with his own private practice and in the university setting, both as a Professor and Medical Director.[11]

James is also the founder of many different networks conducting research partnerships between top universities and companies like Philips, GE, and Toshiba.[12][13]

Philanthropy

Dr. Fleckenstein is very active in non-profits including helping children with cancer.[14][15][16]

In 2022, James launched the Dr. James Fleckenstein Scholarship for Future Medical Doctors,[17][18] which aims to give back to a deserving student who is on the route to become a medical doctor in the future.[19][20]
