Tiffany M. Willard (M.D., FACS) is a trauma and general surgeon and medical educator based in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Background and Career
Tiffany Willard grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and graduated from Cheyenne Mountain High School.[1] Before attending medical school, Willard participated in EMT and paramedic training.[2] She also created a medical school interest group in college that supported fellow students during medical school admissions.[3] Tiffany Willard received her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She completed her general surgery residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago Metropolitan Group Hospitals.[3] Following her residency, she held a trauma and critical care fellowship at the University of Tennessee-Memphis from 2007 to 2008.[4] She also served as the Surgery Liaison at the University of Colorado School of Medicine from 2015 through 2023, where she taught and mentored medical students.[5]
Dr. Willard also created a trauma prevention program based on her experiences in the medical field. The program travels to elementary schools, educating young students about the consequences of risky choices and behavior.[6]
In 2023, Dr. Tiffany Willard received the Longitudinal Integrated Clerkships (LIC) Career Contribution Award from the University of Colorado School of Medicine for her contributions to medical education.[7]
