SIRIUS is a portable/mobile DAQ (data acquisition) system built by DEWESoft, a multinational engineering, electronics, and software company.[1] SIRIUS comes with a broad set of compatible hardware and has an inbuilt proprietary company software - DewesoftX.
History
SIRIUS was developed with the aim of creating a user-friendly DAQ System incorporating Plug-and-play technology which comes with smart sensors, and advanced TEDS sensor support - making performing measurements easier, and reducing the chances of errors.[2]
Later, SIRIUS was further modified to accommodate the industrial and dusty environments. It currently comes with a rugged fanless chassis enclosure. SIRIUS fanless slices have an IP50 rating and are dust-proof. In order to make the SIRIUS waterproof DAQ system line even more durable, an IP67 waterproof variant was developed. SIRIUS DAQ slices are available in 8- and 16-channel configurations, with completely isolated (1000V galvanic channel-to-channel and channel-to-ground isolation) and differential versions (only isolated power supply).[3]

Hardware and Software
SIRIUS is equipped with a number (configurable) of high-dynamic analog inputs, each with dual sigma-delta ADCs with a sampling rate of 200 kHz per channel and a dynamic range of up to 160 dB. The embedded proprietary technologies SuperCounter®, DualCoreADC®, and high galvanic channel-to-channel and channel-to-ground isolation, allows for precise frequency and angle measurement. SIRIUS hardware can read voltage, current, strain (full, half and quarter bridge), ICP/IEPE, charge, CAN, counter, encoder, and digital data, among other signals.[4]
The DewesoftX software that comes with the DAQ system has an intuitive configuration, smart sensors, advanced storage, and analysis capabilities. This software also includes free lifetime upgrades. The DewesoftX software allows the users to acquire and combine data from additional interfaces like GPS, Flexray, Ethernet, Serial, PCM telemetry, XCP, OPC UA, and others.[5]
