History
Destination Sitters was founded in 2008 by Yvonne Wonder, an entrepreneur for over 35 years and the mother of two children. Wonder deeply connects with the topic of childcare as she personally needed it when moving to San Diego, 14 years ago. Back then, she realized that there were no state standards or licensing requirements for temporary childcare. This is when Wonder embarked on her journey to give all parents peace of mind while their children were away from them. She made sure to incorporate the strictest screening requirements in the industry for the company's sitters, giving birth to Destination Sitters, her special babysitting and childcare venture.[4]
Destination Sitters is a premier babysitting service for traveling parents at their hotels or vacation rentals and at any kind of event, such as weddings or even when attending corporate meetings. The company refers prescreened, fully vetted, and trusted sitters who come directly to your hotel room or venue and take care of your children as their own. Since 2008, Destination Sitters has also been working with planners and event coordinators to provide excellent child care for small or large groups of children, including with the NFL, American Express, Maritz Travel, Airbnb Lux and numerous destination management companies.

Services
Destination Sitters offers a number of services that range from in-room babysitting, event childcare, wedding childcare, and even pet sitting. The sitters referred by the company are background checked and CPR certified.
