Deana Zelenka (born April 21) is an American businesswoman, keynote speaker, and philanthropist widely recognized for her work in the fields of business, philanthropy, and leadership. Her career encompasses executive roles in both start-ups and global enterprises, demonstrating her exceptional leadership abilities and strategic acumen.
Zelenka is the CEO of the Lula Group of Companies,[1] CEO and Chair at EverPure Iceland and the Middle East, and Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at GTX Gruppo.[2] She is also recognized for her thought leadership, frequently speaking at national and international conferences.
Alongside her professional endeavors, she actively engages in philanthropic initiatives, leveraging her expertise to support organizations aligned with her values. Early life and education
Zelenka was born in Jacksonville and raised in St Petersburg, Florida. She graduated from high school at the age of 15 while simultaneously showcasing her talents as a skilled soccer goalkeeper.
Zelenka pursued her higher education at the University of South Florida, earning bachelor's and master's degrees in chemical engineering. She obtained an honorary Ph.D. in philosophy from Rai University and a degree in international business from The Wharton School.
Career
Zelenka has an extensive and diverse career as an international businesswoman, showcasing her leadership abilities across various industries. Her professional experience spans from serving as Chief Executive to holding senior executive positions in both venture-backed start-ups and global enterprises.
Throughout her career, Zelenka has demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, sales and marketing, financial management, intellectual property development, corporate structuring, mergers and acquisitions, and fundraising. Her specialization lies in Global Trade and Structured Finance, where she acts as both a principal and agent through a Global Client Book.
Zelenka began her career in 1995 as a senior executive for Kaiser Aluminum's Fluorides Business Division. Since then, she has held positions in over 10 companies, including PermaFlex Rollers, Inc., Hazmat Storage Industry, Oppelle, Zecozi, Living Well, Mobile Inspirations, EndGate Commodities, and EverPure Iceland and the Middle East.
Currently, Zelenka serves as the CEO of the Lula Group of Companies. Lula Global is a private company focused on International Business Development, Trading, and Global Commodity transactions. Additionally, Zelenka assumed the roles of CEO and Chair at EverPure Iceland and the Middle East and Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at GTX Gruppo, both in 2020.
Zelenka actively participates in the business communities of the United States, the GCC, and Iceland. She frequently shares her insights and expertise as a keynote speaker and presenter at national and international conferences, including recent engagements at Wharton.
