Alex Fopiano is a treasury professional based in Boston and specializing in financial analysis and modeling. He is currently the Assistant Treasurer of Brookline Bancorp, Inc. With a rich resume of experiences at corporations including LECG, Santander Bank, and Boston Private Bank, serving in various capacities to help manage processes, complete valuation models, monitor regulatory changes, and manage high-net-worth investment portfolios.

Education and career

Alex Fopiano attended Boston College High School. As an alumnus, he volunteers at the school and served as an Associate Trustee and Treasurer for the Alumni Association.

In 2009, Fopiano graduated from Bentley University (located in Waltham, Massachusetts) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. In 2010, Fopiano received a Master of Science in Quantitative Finance from the McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley University.[1]

Fopiano worked for several financial firms, including Boston Private Bank, Brookline Bank, Santander Bank, and LECG.[2]

Alex Fopiano is currently the Assistant Treasurer of Brookline Bancorp, Inc. He began working with the multi-bank holding company, based in Boston, Massachusetts, in 2018. He develops and implements treasury policies and procedures and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.[3] He also served as a Senior Financial Analyst and Treasury Manager. As Treasury Manager, he worked with a 2-bank holding company and oversaw a team of three treasury analysts and the bank’s investment portfolio.[4]

Additional activities

In 2016, through a partnership with then-employer Boston Private, Fopiano volunteered with Year Up to close the opportunity divide for adolescents. As part of his responsibilities, he reviewed resumes and conducted mock interviews for program graduates to prepare them for job interviews.[5] Fopiano also volunteers with Families First by providing financial literacy education.[6]
