Yomi Olalere is a Canadian serial entrepreneur, enterprise executive, investor, and strategist. Olalere has founded a number of companies including, Abaster Consulting Inc., Abaster Consulting and Training Firm Ltd. Nigeria, Ontario College of Management and Technology, Canada, ICSIC Canada (NGO), Autolab Inc. USA, Cyberlab Inc. USA, Victoria Center for Research and Innovative Technology, Nigeria and Davoriel Properties.[1][2]

Olalere specializes in Strategic Management, Institutional Development and Management, Objective Setting, Pioneering, Solving Complex organizational problems, Governance, International Business Law, Organizational Change Management, Entrepreneurial Management, and Leadership and Communication Strategy.[3]

Olalere has a wide industry experience in Public Sector, Oil and Gas, Telecom, Manufacturing, Retail and Consumer Goods, Education, Utilities, Mining, Professional Services, Crown Corporation and Aerospace.[4]

Early life and education

Olalere was born in Ibadan, South West, Nigeria. He completed his elementary education at St. Joseph Roman Catholic School, Aperin Adekile. During his primary school, Olalere was a member of the debate society and participated in several academic competitions. He completed his high school education at Christ Apostolic Grammar School, Adesola, Ibadan.

Olalere enrolled in the University of Ibadan, and later moved to Canada to continue his study. While at the University of Ibadan, he participated in local politics as a Community Organizer, and was later rewarded for his commitment. Olalere was appointed the ward chairman of a National political party, United Nations People's Party (UNPP), wards 10&11. He also worked as a Research Assistant for Prof. Bola Ayeni, a Geography and GIS Professor at the University of Ibadan, and the first Vice Chancellor, Covenant University, Nigeria.

Olalere obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce at the Royal Roads University, British Columbia, Canada, and then a Master’s Degree in International Business Law at the University of Liverpool, England.[5]

Career

Olalere during his career has worked with several organizations in diverse capacities leading and championing various projects ranging from business transformation, process re-engineering, technology adoption, strategy, enterprise risk management and cybersecurity. He has been a consultant for several firms, banks, and organizations such as Bank of Canada, Ottawa Ontario, Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, Ottawa, Ontario, Department of Justice, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Border Services Agency, Ottawa, Ontario, Public Services and Procurement Canada, Ottawa, Ontario, Innovapost Canada, Xstrata Canada, Bearing Point LLP., Siemens Telecom, British Columbia Lottery Corporation, Kamloops, British Columbia, ENMAX Corp., Alberta, Spin Master, Toronto ON, IBM Canada, Bombardier Aerospace, QC.

Olalere is the founder of Abaster Consulting Inc. a company that specializes in cybersecurity and is known for enterprise resource planning implementation and support. Some other entrepreneurial ventures of Olalere include Autolab, an automotive technology development firm, The International Center for Cybersecurity and Intelligence Research (ICSIC), an NGO based in Canada that focuses on empowering the members with the emerging threats, techniques, strategies, solutions, and cost-effective methods of cybersecurity infrastructure.

He is also the founder of Ontario College of Management and Technology, Victoria Center for Research and Innovative Technology, Nigeria, and Davoriel Properties.[6]
