Yahye Abdi Ali (born 27 March 1994), better known by his stage name Yaxye Yeebaash, is a young Somali contemporary poet and spoken word artist. He was born and raised in Hargeisa, Somaliland. He started writing his first piece of poetry at the age of 16 and his work usually focuses on youth issues as he conducts many event tours all around the Somali region. He is well known for his program, Sirta Nolosha, which highlights issues in society through dynamic storytelling. It is through this program that youth also consider him a prominent motivational speaker from his era.
On the other hand, he is a medical doctor and took his MBBs from University of Hargeisa. Yahye is an activist on mental health issues and has been an active participant of the “Ha dhibin qof dhibin” campaign. He won Somaliland Youth Award on 2018.
