Whitney Reid (born 3 May 1980) is an American business executive, entrepreneur, and fitness model. He is currently the EVP of BPI Sports, one of the world’s largest sports nutrition companies. Reid has been featured in various fitness magazines throughout the years, including Fitness Rx, Ironman, Men's Health, Inside Fitness, Muscle, and Body. He has also shared his industry knowledge in interviews for Muscle & Fitness, Bodybuilding.com vlogs, Muscle & Strength, and other talk shows/podcasts.[1]

Early life and education

Reid was born on 3 May 1980 and grew up in central Virginia outside of Richmond, VA, with an older brother, who introduced him to sports and the gym. While in high school and college, Reid was extensively involved in various sports activities and became the VISFA HS player of the year at Letterman Hampden Sydney College. He acquired a bachelor’s degree in History from Hampden Sydney College.

Career

Reid opened his first gym alongside his brother Chris Reid and a friend after graduating from college. In 2005, they extended their business by purchasing Wolfgang's Gym, a bodybuilding legacy gym that was home to the area's top NPC and IFBB bodybuilders. Reid began modeling for Fitness Rx magazine in 2007 and used his cover feature to kickstart his fitness career. Since then, he has worked with every major fitness publication and has appeared on the covers of Muscle & Fitness, Fitness RX, Ironman, Inside Fitness, Muscle & Body, Men’s Health. As a result, he developed a business relationship with Jay Cutler, 4X Mr. Olympia.[2]

Reid appeared in multiple TV commercials, including a stint for Trojan. He also had a role in Sex and The City 2 where he became SAG eligible. He has multiple training guides on bodybuilding.com and muscleandstrength.com.[3]

In 2012, Reid became the first “outside” salesperson for BPI Sports, a new supplement brand recognized worldwide with over 100 countries represented. It is well-known in the United States for its partnerships with Walmart, Walgreens, Vitamin Shoppe, and other stores. The company is a leading brand both in the US and Internationally with a dominant market share in the Middle East, Latin America and Asia. As of 2022, Reid serves as the Executive Vice President of BPI Sports.[4]

Reid has had the opportunity to work alongside some of the most well-known names in the fitness industry by creating products and brands for personalities such as Jay Cutler, Mike Ohearn, and WWE Hall of Famers Hulk Hogan and Billy Gunn. He recently created the first Sports Nutrition product using the IP from one of the most well known NFT Brands Women and Weapons.[5]

Personal life

Reid is married to India Paulino, a three-time Arnold Classic champion and 16-time IFBB pro bikini champion. They have a four-year-old boy named Breton.
