Walid Bahri is a business executive in the healthcare sector. He is the co-founder and chief executive officer of Connected Health, a healthcare group founded in the United Arab Emirates, and a co-founder of its digital pharmacy business, RxNow Pharmacy.[1][2] His work has centred on the use of digital services to connect patients with pharmacy and other healthcare support.[3]
Education and earlier career
RxNow's published team profile states that Bahri holds a bachelor's degree in pharmacy. It does not name the institution or give a graduation year.[2]
According to Connected Health's biography, Bahri has nearly two decades of experience in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors in the Gulf Cooperation Council region and beyond. The biography says that his earlier career included roles at Novartis and L’Oréal, with work involving business growth and medical strategy. It does not provide the titles he held or his dates of employment at either company.[1]
RxNow Pharmacy
Bahri co-founded RxNow Pharmacy with Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi. An earlier RxNow team profile listed Bahri as its co-founder and managing director; the company's current team page identifies him as co-founder and chief executive officer.[2][4]
Janahi has described a conversation with Bahri in July 2020 about why obtaining prescriptions remained a largely non-digital experience. According to Janahi's account, that question helped shape the idea for RxNow Pharmacy, which launched in 2021. This account comes from Bahri's co-founder and should be treated as their description of the company's origins.[5][6]
Bahri was identified as the founder and managing director of RxNow in a 2025 KLAS Research report on healthcare information technology in the Middle East.[7]
Connected Health
Bahri serves as co-founder and chief executive officer of Connected Health. The group describes its aim as using technology to make healthcare services more accessible and convenient for patients in the UAE and the wider GCC region.[1] Its platform has included RxNow Pharmacy, RxNow Personalized and RxNow Technologies.[3]
Partnership with Novo Nordisk
In November 2025, Connected Health and Novo Nordisk UAE announced a partnership concerning support for people living with obesity or overweight in the UAE. The announced model focused particularly on the period after a patient receives a prescription, when obtaining medication and continuing treatment can require coordination across different services.[3]
The companies said the arrangement would use Connected Health's platform to bring together digital prescription fulfilment, online consultations and medication delivery. These were described as planned services under the partnership, rather than measured outcomes.[3]
Bahri commented that the two organisations were approaching the same patient journey with different tools. He identified the post-prescription stage as a particular focus of their work together. Janahi also spoke publicly about the partnership on behalf of Connected Health.[3]
