Visar Kastrati (born 24 October 1986) is a Kosovar Referee (association football). He has been a FIFA International Referees List since 2020 and is ranked as a UEFA second category referee.

Refereeing career

Kastrati started refereeing in the Top Division in Kosovo Superliga in 2017 and was awarded his FIFA badge in 2020.[1]

He is a graduate of UEFA’s Centre of Refereeing Excellence (CORE)[2] programme, which has prepared considerable numbers of promising young match officials for an international refereeing career. Kastrati attended the CORE course in 2017. He refereed his first international match in October that year, taking charge of Romania national football team 4–1 win over Malta national football team in 2021 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying competition. In September 2022, Kastrati was appointed to referee the 2022–23 UEFA Europa Conference League Group Stage match between K.A.A. Gent and Shamrock Rovers F.C. [3]

Personal life

Outside football Kastrati has a degree of Master of Science of The University of Sheffield in Software Engineering and Telecommunications. Besides refereeing he works in Central Election Commission as an IT Consultant.[4]
