Tamara Savelyeva (born 2003) is an Amsterdam based mixed media artist specializing in Coming of age photography.[1]
Biography
Toma (Tamara) Savelyeva was born in Moscow, Russia in 2003. She grew up in Moscow, Kolchugino, Vladimir Oblast, and still speaks Russian language. Her family moved to Netherlands in 2009.[2]
She has successfully completed her photography studies at the Nederlandse Academie voor Beeldcreatie in 2019. Savelyeva first gained public notice[1] with her work in the group show Facade (2021), at London Holy Art Gallery. The show included her large Chromogenic print staged portraits of young adolescent girls.[3] Toma Savelyeva currently lives and works in Amsterdam.
Savelyeva's work appears on the cover and liner notes of Russian indie rock/shoegaze group krasochnobledno's 2020 album Vse Horosho?, as well as the covers of the EP releases for the album.
In September 2021, Savelyeva started selling Non-fungible token, digital representations of art whose ownership is verified by a blockchain.[4]
