SwissWatchExpo is an online marketplace and physical store for the resale and trade of pre-owned luxury watches.[1][2] Established in 2009 by Jake Rokhlin and Victoria Rokhlin, SwissWatchExpo is based in Buckhead, Atlanta, Georgia, serving a global client base. The company carries over 2,500 units of men’s and women’s watches from nearly 40 luxury watch brands including Rolex, Omega, Cartier, Breitling, and Patek Philippe.[3]

SwissWatchExpo also sells certified pre-owned watches offering a trade-in program for upgrading watch styles. As of 2021, it had one of the largest inventories of watches in a showroom in the United States. SwissWatchExpo has been recognized for business success by several media outlets such as Forbes,[4][5][6][7] CBS News,[8] Atlanta Magazine,[9] Business Insider,[10] and Simply Buckhead,[11] to name a few.

History and operations

The platform was founded in 2009 by Jake Rokhlin and Victoria Taukatch who had been dealing with various jewelry and watch brands as local sellers for a while then. Initially, the company operated from its first retail storefront in Atlanta, and then after experiencing a large influx of inquiries from all over the United States, they launched their website SwissWatchExpo.com.[12]

Within a decade, SwissWatchExpo gained recognition for offering a wide collection of authentic pre-owned luxury timepieces that are available both online and at their physical store. The major attraction of the company is that the customers are allowed to inspect, examine, and fit any timepiece before making a purchase while being assisted by the staff. For this very reason, SwissWatchExpo has been constantly attracting new customers that often fly in from other cities to visit the showroom.[13]

SwissWatchExpo also has a state-of-the-art service center, where highly trained watchmakers authenticate and service hundreds of watches a week, as part of their fully-integrated operation.

In 2016, Eugene Tutunikov joined the company as CEO and relaunched the website shortly after. With him leading the charge, SwissWatchExpo increased focus on online marketing and E-commerce that led to the exceptional growth of over 700% between 2016 and 2021, making SwissWatchExpo the second leading U.S. retailer of used luxury watches and in the top four worldwide.

In December 2019, the company renovated its showroom to double its original size and introduced a hip, urban design. The industrial feel of the showroom interiors was a first among luxury watch retailers. In November 2020, SwissWatchExpo moved into a free-standing location spanning two floors and 7,000 square feet at 315 East Paces Ferry Rd NE, Atlanta, U.S.

Between January and August 2021, company sales grew by 54% compared to the previous year, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.[14] Today, SwissWatchExpo ships watches worldwide and has served over 30,000 customers globally.
