Shawn Schepps (July 25, 1961) is an American actress, producer and writer. She appeared in the movie The Terminator playing the character Nancy Dizon who was Sarah Connor's co-worker (1984). She also had a guest role in The Golden Girls playing Blanche Devereaux 's daughter, Rebecca (1988). She co-wrote scripts for two of Paulie Shore' 's movies Encino Man (1992) and Son In Law (1993). She also co-wrote the script for Drumline (film) (2002).
Life and Career
Early Life
Shawn Schepps was born on July 25, 1961 in Brooklyn, New York, but was raised in Los Angeles, California in the neighborhood of Granada Hills. She was brought up in a Jewish household by her mother and father. As a child, she took acting lessons and learned ballet and tap dancing. Schepps got her first agent at age 7.
One of her early jobs was working at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles taking tickets.
Her and Estelle Getty had the same managers.
She was in a play that was a rock opera based on the city of Mongoni (Mangani)
In her spare time, she teaches private writing courses for aspiring playwrights.
Television
Schepps has been acting since 1972 when she had her first role voicing an animated movie called 'Tabitha and Adman and The Clown Family' which aired on ABC Superstar Saturday movie. In the 1980's Schepps played guest roles on two hit sitcoms The Golden Girls and Family Ties. She has played other roles in various television shows and made-for-TV movies.
Film
Her first film role was in The Terminator (1984) starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Schepps played the role of Nancy who was a co-worker of Sarah Connor (Terminator).
Writer
Schepps co-wrote scripts for two Paulie Shore movies Encino Man (1992) and Son In Law (1993) along with Peter M. Lenkov. She also co-wrote the script for Drumline (film) (2002) along with Tina Gordon Chism. Other writing credits include Drop Dead Diva (2009); Weeds (TV Series) (2005 - 2006); Rude Awakening (TV Series (2001); My Family (TV Series) (2000) and First Time Out (TV Series) (1995).
Before writing scripts for movies, Schepps wrote plays. Her first was a sketch comedy musical called 'The Steven Weed Show'[1] which was seen at the Endiburgh Fringe Festival. After her second play, a Disney executive came to see it and that's how she became co-writer for Enicino Man.

In 2005, Schepps started a production company called GirlSays Productions which is located in Los Angeles, California.
In 2016, Schepps appeared on a special 'Golden Girls' episode of a podcast entitled 'Out On The Lanai' which was hosted by H. Alan Scott and Kerry Doherty. The podcast is still in production as of June 2021.[2]
