Early life and education
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Fair attended Lutheran High School East and graduated with a degree in finance from the Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University in 1989.

Fair Consulting Group
Fair founded The Fair Consulting Group, a United States-based speaking and training firm, in 2009. As the organization’s CEO, Fair brings a diverse background from his previous roles in small and large corporations, where he held positions ranging from customer service to vice president of sales and marketing and national executive trainer to senior training executive.[5]
