Scott Luscombe is a Canadian creative director, freelance graphic designer, digital marketer, website developer, copywriter, and e-commerce developer. He is the founder of Creatibly, a creative advertising agency, based in Toronto, Canada. He has over 15 years of US agency experience, working with brands such as Nestle, Coca-Cola, Nickelodeon, and Wallet Ninja.[1]

Luscombe is highly regarded for his expertise in developing consumer packaged goods, e-commerce, and marketing skills. He is skilled in designing, illustrating, and animating using any software, including Adobe Creative Suite’s Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, and After Effects.[2]

He began his career as a junior designer and grew through various roles to the position of creative art director during his 20 years of industrial career.[3]

Early life and education

Luscombe attended Sheridan College, Oakville, and completed his education in illustration, design, and applied arts in 2001. His education at Sheridan built a strong foundation for his expertise in traditional art, making him skilled at illustration and animation using any software. Luscombe is currently pursuing a degree in marketing & copywriting and machine learning from the University of Toronto and Massachusetts Institute of Technology respectively.

Career

In 2001, after completing his education at Sheridan college Luscombe began his career as a junior graphic designer at Citrus media. Later in the year he moved to Zebra studios and began working as an intermediate graphic designer, during the same time he also started working as a freelance graphic designer at Elance. In 2003, Luscombe joined the big image marketing group and worked for around 3 years with the company. He joined as a senior graphic designer and was later promoted to the art director designation. During the years 2003-2015, Luscombeworked as a freelancer at oDesk. In 2005, Luscombe shifted to the United States and joined Magnetic as a Creative director.

Luscombe is also the founder of Creatibly, established in 2001. He is the creative and technical director at Creatibly and has experience working with brands such as Nestle, Coca-Cola, Nickelodeon, and Wallet Ninja. He has experience working for over 16 years for Nestle and has successfully developed the nestle campaign concepts such as Something New is Brewing and Moments in Time and has completed numerous projects for Nestle brand in Canada and the US.

In 2015, to enhance his skills in product designing, Luscombe built Dawg Grillz and in 2017, he sold the brand on Season 11 of CBC’s The Dragons’ Den TV Show. he has also created products that ranked as the #1 seller on Amazon and Groupon.

As a freelancer creative director at Upwork, Luscombe has been ranked as the top-rated plus freelancer for more than 2 years and hosts a monthly mentorship program, Talent-Huddle, through which he trains over 40 Upwork freelancers towards increasing their success.

Personal life

Luscombe currently spends time in Toronto, Canada, and Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He is married to a Brazilian and they together have two sons.
